It's not like they do it in front of the class.
They just call me up and ask me. Cause they want to make sure I won't "start any racial trouble". So they're just being cautious. I don't really blame them with the world the way it is today. :/

I've been thinking about getting my name changed..
But the I wouldn't be "me". So I think I'll keep it..
I'll just have to carry the burden of being labeled, I suppose.
As long as I know I'm not racist, that's good enough for me.

How could they possibly assume that you'd cause any trouble based on your name? It's a freaking name. A lot of names have specific meanings, and just because yours might have a negative history attached to it, it doesn't mean that you feel that way as well. If a teacher asked me if I was going to start "racial trouble", I'd simply walk away. That is so unfair to you.

Well, in my school (Which is 60% African American) you have to be cautious about these things.
Like I said, I don't really blame them.
It's become a routine thing for me, I guess.

But most teachers just get my name completely wrong. I think they avoid the fact that my name is a racist clan xD
I remember one time my teacher would pronounce it wrong the whole year.
It's pronounced "Air-ee-un". She would pronounce it "Are-ee-un" not matter how many times I corrected her xD

Don't worry, my teachers always pronounce my last name incorrectly no matter how many times I corrected them.

When my grandfather was in the military, he would ignore his superiors when they pronounced his name wrong, lol.

My cat's name is Kevin! XD
 
I have a good friend named Kevin. xD

Not many people from my home country, France, are named Kimberly :< But I still love it ;3

Kevin's a really common name. Try having a name that everyone misspells. Even teachers.

My name looks simple, but everyone gets it wrong. It really bothers me sometimes. I guess it's nice since it's unique, but the misspelling of it... D:

And Shikon, I... can't really relate. I've never met anyone who couldn't spell my name. Ever.
