I've never played any MMO before.

Yay me.

Well, the reason would be because my computer sucks are playing those sort of games, and lags like hell. :[ It's not worth the pain.

Yeah, that was Audy XD Him and his plugins.

DCC fell asleep. :(

My computer doesn't play many games either but I think most of the free MMOs (which are the worst ones xD) don't typically have very big requirements so most computers will still run them. :/

Apparently anyone who's played WoW easily gets addicted to it. Though, I always thought because it's an online game, people would be more competitive. Since hearing stories like some person stole another person's weaponary and they found out where that person lived and beat them up/murdered them or something. Though, it could be just a rumour.

And there's also another story of someone who kept playing WoW, didn't eat, sleep, or anything and eventually died. Might also be another rumour. But if that was true, wow.. That's.. Really obsessive.

I've heard some strange rumors about WoW, but those may be the worst I've heard yet. I've never had any interest in trying MMOs for some reason...I heard a lot of people talk about them when I was still in high school last year, but it just never appealed to me.

I only knew WoW from my brothers, but I don't think they played the online version. I think there was a WoW that was similiar to Starcraft, Age of Empires, Sim City and other games like those. Or I could be thinking of something else.

But my friend plays WoW, she was really addicted to it. She use to stay up late playing it and then come to school the next day late. And she's even met her boyfriend on WoW and now she's moved to America to live with him.

^ That's pretty funny and also pretty sad at the same time. I don't even see what's so addictive about WoW. =\

I've heard basically the same rumors so, of course, I never had any urge to play for fear of my life being overtaken due to similar circumstances. I have a few acquaintances who have begun to play, so I went over to one's house and watched them play for awhile.

Pong was more exciting, in my opinion.

After about twenty to thirty minutes, I still had not found the source of their pleasure in this game, so I left and went home. I guess my expectations were too high for I saw it as the second coming of methamphetamines or pcp due to the talks of addiction I had heard took place. I still fail to see what makes it so special.

That... that really is sad. :|

Reminds me of some boss or sidequest in FFXI I heard about where it literally takes hours and hours. A guild (or the FFXI equivalent) went up against it and after like 12 hours of non-stop meleeing they had to pull out because a lot of members were feeling ill from lack of sleep, nourishment, etc. That's just ridiculous, imo. @_@;

WoW was a lot of fun when I played it with the group here but on my own? Yeah I wouldn't be able to get into it at all. Most of the fun was just voice chatting the whole time.
