If I'm not given the choice, I don't mind playing as a female character because it serves the story. But when I have the choice, I'm going with the male character because part of it is that who you're playing as is supposed to be you to an extent.

I played as Kris in Crystal once just because that was the first time you had the option and it was a big deal. I don't like Lucas' design, but I played as him

He'd look better without the beret. I played as Lucas in Diamond, but when I get Platinum I'll play as Dawn just to mix things up.

I DESPERATELY WANT A GSDS REMAKE!!!!!!!!! @____@

My classmate gave me his Gold version. Luckily the Battery still works. Reminds me of the good old days when getting up to Lv. 100 was actually something to drool upon. Now people think to much in comp. batt. *shot*

Still trying to beat Red with my Lv. 54 Feraligatr. ^__________^

But then again it's weird without anyone to trade with. D=

Pokemon Gold was my favourite version. I'd like to go back and replay it one day but since I still fully expect a remake eventually, I don't want to spoil myself for it too much. (If I replay it now and they announce a remake this or next year, it won't be as fun since I would've played it too soon ago. :P) I do want to play it to know if it's just nostalgia goggles I'm looking through when I think back on it or if it really is as good as I remember. XD;

Crystal sprites are awesome. The menus aren't so different. And I'm still waiting for an evil team song which actually can beat Team Rocket's theme there ;-; It was sooooo awesome.
And the towns... Azalea or Ecruteak had great songs :<
 
Well, GBC songs will always feel old, because they are old, and made for a technology which has been long beaten nowadays. And well, I have never actually cared abouyt the sprites themselves, so I guess it's more taste again.

But if a remake was made, I'd buy it right away. Heck, I joined these forums to download a G/S/C remake hack rom XD;
 
I've always enjoyed Johto the most since it has the best variety of Pokemon.

They should just realize to make the Gen. II remake, so I could buy it.
 
It may also be due to the nostalgia factor. Gen II came when I was probably more into Pokémon (and most of the world too).
 
It would still stand as a symbol anyways. I don't know as a symbol of what exactly, but eh :p

Last night I was talking about hacks to Blazichu and he said 90% of PC hates SG.
