Eh, I don't like to use a thesaurus. When I was really young, I used to like doing it, but when I look back, you really have to know the connotations and intricacies of a word before you start throwing it around. :P

The dictionary, on the other hand, is an incredibly useful tool. :3

^_^; I guess I just read a lot. :3

Thanks for the cookie. :D

Ah, its cool. It WAS Spey's but, some naughty people eated half of it.

Lol yeah I know what you mean. Remember that long winded sentence I wrote in FF lounge? Well I didn't even use a dictionary/theasaurus. I didn't even bother to check for proper connotation or grammar (though I think that was okay). Needless to say, I just thought of words on the spot, and apparently it semi works? Not sure. I am pretty tired, and judging by my previous post, I'll probably be making up new words now.

I liked back in high school when you'd be doing peer editing and it was so obvious when someone used a thesaurus to look smarter--half the time they'd use words that didn't fit in with their essay, were complete jargon, or made no sense whatsoever in context, etc.

It always made me sad when they'd ignore my edits and hand it in anyway. :(

lol I'd always chuckle at that. Now I hear that teachers are ripping their hair out because of the fact that students are writing in text speak.

What I do now with my essays is let the quotes do the work. It is so fun allowing for that. Not only do I make it so that my examples not only give the question, but also the answer. And teachers soak it up. I've seen plenty of essays where quotes are used as examples, but it can be even better if the quote can be used to explain itself too.

On a side note, because of my lack of sleep, I, for some reason feel like I want to tear some flesh, not my own of course... But yeah... And no I am not a wereful I don't think there is a full moon out rather, it is probably gone now, that it is 6am.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Okay bed time >.>

I recently got my N64 out.
I had totally forgot about all the awesome games~

I hate it when people who write in text talk. I never, ever write in text talk. Not even on my phone or anything.

Haha, yes! I remember we used to do projects a couple of years ago for this eccentric teacher I had, and half of the essays handed in were either modified by the thesaurus or it was litterally copied and pasted from Wikipedia or some other website with blocks of information. And it's so obvious to see which is fake, as well. You'd think after they were forced to re-write their essay, they'd learn a lesson. But no! They just kept doing it again and again.

Funny stuff.

Oh god, the amount of people who couldn't figure out how to use Wiki properly was ridiculous in my school. <_<;;

I mean, I'll admit wiki was always my first stop to get basic background info but more importantly, to find other sources because usually what they list as sources at the bottom of the page are a-okay to use in an essay as resources. 8) And that's where you start. Most people would just rewrite the wiki page via thesaurus and word rearranging.

I often use wiki as a sole source for essays... Not because I can't use anything else, just because I can't be bothered using anything else. Although, this year, that sorta stopped :P

Our teachers have banned Wiki in our University >_> 8 people failed news writing for basing all their info on it XD

@Went: It was "banned" in HS for us too (we couldn't list it as a source or it was probably insta-fail or something XD) but no teachers cared enough to go see if your sources were the same (or similar) to the sources listed on wiki. whooo.

@Derrick: lmao what. :( Sounds like my mom ffff.

omg I can't even imagine that. @_@;; Mostly everyone at my school was fairly computer literate. Maybe a few people would get stuck on some things because the actions they were used to on their home PCs were restricted on school PCs (you could only rename folders and files a certain way, iirc XD) but otherwise, no one had issues.

We have people visiting us this week and I was giving them the WEP key so they could use the internet on their computers...

It's a long, annoying key so I suggested she open up Notepad and type it in there so she could copy and paste it (and thus wouldn't have to write it out twice). She looked at me all confused and I had to walk her through every. single. step. :(

I don't mean to change the subject or get off topic, but why are you not the Hat Administrator anymore? :(
