what? are those the small ones? my english teach had one last year, i loved it x3 it was like a mini-macbook. if i decide not to get a macbook, i will definatly buy those mini-laptops.
A macbook would be able to be used more.
The mini laptops are only good for work and email (simple internet).

But I use my laptop for all around stuff, so I can play games on it. ;)
Not true. I use mine for PC all the time. I watch Youtube videos. Mine has tons of games on it. It can even play World of Warcraft, it passed all the tests needed and it's a netbook from 2 years ago. The ones now are 20x better.

I can't count WoW as a proper game :P XD >.>

Though I do remember someone playing what I think was Diablo 2. But the screen is not fun to look at, one may be squinting or bending their neck too much. You'd almost need a perfect lighting situation.

My netbook doesn't run WoW very well. :( Or at least, it doesn't run the streaming client very well so I doubt it'd manage the full thing.

But I got it for web browsing and basic internet use and it does that admirably so I certainly can't complain.

hah. WoW. i remeber during the whole Christmas break i would play the demo. i was so addicted x3 then, when the demo ended, i forgot about it all. now im back to Spore >=D

I see just fine and mine is 7 inches.

*cowers to said measurements and pets his own computer, as though it had been traumatized too*

Though once I do get a new laptop, I wonder if I should get another Toshiba, or get an HP this time around.

I think I'd also want a blu ray player, so I wonder if at this point, only Sony is offering that.

NO NO NO NO NO DON'T GET AN HP.

:( I've had nothing but problems with mine and their customer support is ridiculously horrible. You WILL have issues if you get an HP laptop and you'll be quite miffed at their horrendous customer service when you try to get it fixed.

An MSI Wind U100. :D

I need a blu ray player and USB 3.0 for my computer. A bigger hardrive, preferably SATA. A new cell phone and..that's about it.

Meh

@Lightning: Never heard of that. o:

My sister got an HP from Costco, and nothing has gone wrong with it. I think I may stick with Toshiba then, but I wonder if they will have blu ray players in there's in over a years time.

When was this? I got an HP since I had friends who swore by their quality. This was about 2-3 years ago. They've gotten a lot cheaper since then (hardware-wise) and I honestly don't know a single person who's gotten an HP in the last two years who hasn't had to send it in at least once.

<_< I sent mine in because the display stopped working one day. They fixed that but when I got it back, one of the fans was broken. I didn't care enough to go to the hassle of sending it back again (I... bought mine in the US so I have about 50 hurdles to jump to get it serviced since they simply won't do it in Canada... but that's another story) so I kept it and bought a cooling pad. A few months after my warranty expired, my computer stopped recognizing its internal wireless card. But only sometimes. I'm still dealing with this issue lmao.

Just... augh. They're horrible and they make me cry. ;_;

Well as long as you're happy with the purchase ;)

Wow that sucks... My sister has had her laptop for 3-4 years I think.

My Toshiba, I'm surprised is doing pretty well, considering the abuse it probably has endured. See I bought it in Australia, and had been traveling around with it for about 8 months. At some point about 2-3 pixels died (not sure why), and the left speaker (more recent though, perhaps in Canada this occured), periodically cracks and stops working, unless if I turn it up to make it "start" up again.

Other than that, I too need an extra fan, especially when playing games, as it has been known to overheat and shut off on its own.

Otherwise, I'd call it self abuse, but thankfully I haven't dropped it.

EDIT:

Sounds like you need a new battery, which isn't too bad.

It's probably back from when they used better parts/components in their computers then. :(

what? what are you talking about, what did i do? T_T

somebody just made me this gag theme, and i centered everything else i had. thats it. Blame the theme maker! x3 (but dont.)

Oh, you're talking about sig/avvy theme? I thought you meant profile theme.

If not, I resell it on ebay for more than I bought it for because there are always stupid people roaming ebay.

I bought a DS lite, new, for 100 bucks. I sold it a year later used and scratched up for 130 because I threw in a non-working 4 year old blackberry. Positive feedback too.

@iDawg: Google "[your laptop model] battery]" in the Shopping tab

hah yup. but wait, where did i copy my profile theme from? the colours i figured on my own (based it off the colours of the Wicked Years, i loved that book series), and the pic was a random Lady Gaga one! hah, i know, it sounds like im whining, but im so confused >.<
