The Daily-Chit Chat of 09'

I know. There are some people I know on various forums that boast about being in AP classes, having high test scores, yet they come online and act like total idiots. Excelling in the American public school system means next to nothing, especially once college starts and they're hit with a real challenge.

Ninja'd: I actually bought Summon Night but never got the chance to play through it:/ Real life interfered. Seems like a cool game, though, and I might pick it up and see if I can make it to the end when I get a break. I've been mostly pleased with games released by Atlus. I especially enjoyed Luminous Arc 2.

Just because their attitudes aren't what you would expect of someone in AP classes, doesn't make them any stupider. I know plenty of people who have unfitting personalities with their level of intelligence, and I don't really care.

You should play summon night, it's really fun.

Man. It's been forever since I posted here. I see the current discussion is schooling...

When you're in IB, an international standard program, it isn't so much an 'American' education (except for the elementary, middle, high school structure) as other programs. It can still be lacking in some areas, but it's something I suppose...

My main concern about IB would be the CAS component (150 hours of "creative" extracurricular activities, "action" extracurricular activities, and community service). But apart from that, I'd like to give it a shot. :s

Did you catch it with a pokeball or basketball?
I caught it with the awesome power of Ctrl+S. :D

You wouldn't survive, truthfully.

I mean, look at Twilightblade. She has crapload of work like every day.
Isn't that a bit presumptuous? Other people manage to survive - why wouldn't I be able to in Year 12 (Grade 11)? Sure, it would be hard work, but not surviving is something different entirely.

(By not surviving I'm assuming you mean that I would find myself either dropping out or failing. if you meant something else, forget I said anything. XD)

It's almost as if the world goes in slow motion and an alarm goes off inside your head when I make a quote error. XD; Seriously, I edited that right after I posted it. XDD;

I have hands that cowboys in the ancient west used to have. I reckon it's one of my many talents that I rarely use.

No, I just thought I'd try to make a discussion whilst writing in an facundious manner.

There isn't much need in using big words here. They don't impress anyone nor does anyone in DCC care about grammar 9/10 times, and if they do, it's just something to whine about whilst getting +1 post count.

Actualy, in saying that, change "an" to "a"

You should really stop being a spoilsport >:O
Besides, it makes me feel smarter(not that I need to feel smarter since I am/ego) since I managed to remember the use the most uncommon words in the English language.

Don't get me wrong, I like a little bit of good grammar here and there but when people just do it to look smart it drives me insane. I could write a full sentence in intellectual grammar that no one would inderstand then act all high and mighty about it but at the end of the day I wouldn't be proving my worth to anyone.
It's like saying "In 1863 there was an outbreak of Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis" Instead of just saying that "Black Lung" was common around those times. >.<

From what I remember, that is a lung disease commonly found in miners because of the large amounts of silicon in the air. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well yes, of course. I mean, think about all the fumes and smoke they would inhale that would stain the lining of their lungs. Quite a hidious way to die.
It was the cause of death in Pompay also when the volcano errupted, people think teh people were smothered or burnt, but they would have died of rapid black lung due to the amount of smoke that would have blown out of the volcano before the lava came runningh down. Hense why there were no survivors or very few at least.

It annoys me because, after one time of coming to school and saying that "pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis" was the longest word in the English language, I got a whole year of people stopping me and asking me to spell it. I hate when people put me on the spot like that. >.<

Let us stop talking about poisonous diseases due to materials commonly found near volcanoes.

Am I the only one that clicks that little Arrow next to the Copyright occasionally?
