Change of subject!

I am so behind on my kanji today. I need to start with 2nd grade and it is already 234. xD Hey people, congratulate me on completing grade 1 of Japanese. >:[

I seriously need to get down to business with bushu though. I didn't even know what they were when I started with Japanese. Now I need to catch them up with the 80+ kanji I have learned. @~@
 
I really want to learn Japanese, but I'm doing Spanish at the moment, and I'll be taking German next year if I have clashes with the other subjects I am desirous of. Even that might be too much, but time will tell. I think I'll go back for Japanese at university, maybe. I'm good with languages.
 
Languages are a weak point of mine. ^^; I like linguistics; that is, the generalised study of languages, but I'm usually bad at learning new ones. XD;
 
I'm good with both. One helps with the other, and so on. Learning a second language makes it so much easier to learn a third. (Although most of my Japanese comes from manga, and is pretty much limited to words and phrases like ohayo gozaimasu, konnichiwa, sayonara, arigatou, gomen nasai, itadakimasu, -san, -kun, -chan, -sama, -dono et al.)

Student councils (or equivalents) tend to be figurehead-like and mainly just to give students another extracurricular activity. XD; What are they like over there?
 
I'm on my fifth year of spanish. It takes awhile but learning another language is really satisfying.
 
It is satisfying because it makes you feel uber at communicating, and that your heritage doesn't limit you at all. 8D I love Spanish and Japanese. Spanish is really easy, but Japanese is just more fun. <8D
 
It's satisfying partly because you have the ability to speak another language, hehe go me sort of thing, but also because it opens your mind to things in your own language that you never would have seen otherwise. I've learned more English in Spanish than I have in English this year.
