I've heard of one recently . . . a little girl in Israel or somewhere was killed when she was hit on the head by a UN first aid kit dropped from a helicopter. The parachute was faulty and didn't deploy.

And speaking of weapons, there was this person who died because his wife overworked him.
I think he swam 40 something consecutive laps before dying.
:S Seriously? Wow. D: Do you have a link for that?

There is wikipedia if you think that is a reliable source.
However, I don't think that anyone would put libelous additions on "list of unusual deaths."

Wiki isn't so reliable, because other people can change and edit the articles.
Luck, your avatar reminds me of Seifer. I think that's how you spell it.

Holy friggin' pancakes. That's horrible. ;-;

These deaths, are rather, unusual, and some are funny, for the way it happened, not funny for the person who died.

I saw the Pizza-Delivery Time bomb one on TV. Saying he was involved is just so that their actions were somewhat justified for not taking off the bomb.

Absolutely. We can laugh at the unusualness or irony of how a death occurred, but the death itself for the person is not funny. :s

Since laughter is commonly affiliated with joy and happiness, I'm afraid that I'll have to stop you there. The death of a person can be celebrated and laughed at, especially with the death of a tyrant. If you frequent yahoo!, then you will know that Kim Jong Il got a rare case of cancer.

Hmm, that's a fair enough statement, I guess. There are some people whose deaths can be laughed at (like tyrants, as you mentioned).

There are always exceptions in the minds of subjective homosapiens.

You can't forget the Darwinists! XD

I am not afraid of death, so it is a light-hearted (pun not intended) subject to me. Especially as it also begins to leak into my own beliefs.

It's a series documenting people who do stupid things and get themselves killed, thereby removing themselves from the gene pool.

And rightfully so! XD

There is also a sub-category for honorable mentions, for people who did stupid things, but are still alive.

Also Cit forgot to mention that you can still make it on the Darwin awards (the actual title), if you loose the ability to reproduce (and thus still be alive).
