It's stuff like this which is really making me upset about PC.
I love PC but it seems all people want to is "Get known" and I'm sorry guys, but what's the need?
I don't see why people need to become famous on a forum. All that matters is that you keep yourself happy and make some friends in doing it.
Becoming famous could effectively make you hate the place.
People are all to pretentious nowadays.

See, the thing is, this thread doesn't seem to be the place. I avoided here because it seemed to me like a pointless conversation. I now see it has its moments, but let's try and have more of those moments, mmkay?

When I post here, it raises my postcount by one, and that's all well and good, but not my main focus. Really, ever since I've started posting here (and elsewhere), I've made more friends. It's a good feeling. Not so much being known, but being recognised. Being able to wander into the DCC and say 'Hey, guys', and having people welcome you in, budge up on the couch and offer you a Coke because you're all good buddies.

I'm not there yet, but I'm working on it.

Also some of the things that upset me about PC. Another thing is how new people always come and try to think they're cool in some form or manner. Either their ego was enlarged or they were just "born" into PC with an ego. Either way, I find this completely unacceptable and stupid in my own opinion. It's some of the new people(not saying any names, though you know whether I'm talking about you or not) that managed to ruin the DCC experience because of their complete off-topic-ness and unnecessary spam; it ruined all the fun for the rest of us.

OK, then. I abhor Science. There's no real reason; I just can't get into it like I can get into Maths or English. My brain doesn't work that way. I'm dropping it at the end of this year in favour of Classics.
