*Rolls eyes* Everyone says that. If you think you're surprising anyone by calling the world stupid...well, you're not. :/

The point is to get the smart people out of that group to vote. No single man in the world has the authority to judge and decide who is smart enough to vote and who is not. Sorry. :/
And the government is too much of a profit-driven minority of opinion to run the whole thing for us.
Agree here. Yeah Luck, (almost) everyone has the right to vote and you can't just judge if someone is smart enough too or not. It's moreso opinions clashing each other, considering politics can get nasty sometimes, depending where you live.

Also...um, DG, the government isn't profit-driven, at least in business terms. They can be stakeholders of business, though. D: *business nerd *

And no MW, you can't take over the world! D: *chases after you*

I stand by what I said because it is becoming more apparent, even though there is a great increase in technology. Hell, I would even say that it is because of the great increase in technology since I've seen that 20/20 school news report, but I'm not one to say that correlation is causation.

The point is to get the smart people out of that group to vote.

I'm afraid I don't get what you are saying.

And the government is too much of a profit-driven minority of opinion to run the whole thing for us.
Your last part was complete opinion, but meh.
The point is to get smart people to change the minds of others.
Although I do generally agree with majority rule, they do have downsides to them. They can oppress minority groups in certain situations, but even then, it is basically what you have stated.
And even then, we still have the right to group up and discuss unpopular ideas.

Actually, government position=lots of spaghetti ca$h.
So I'm pretty sure most of them do it for the lulz ca$h.

I'm sorry. ;__;
Would you like a hug?

No matter what you do, you will never in your life see a true democracy. Athens is the closest thing you will see to that.
FYI, sometimes only electives should be allowed to make decisions; there are actual people that believe that gay people shouldn't marry because they are controlled by the devil. Seriously. The normal population is politically stupid.

I just noticed that you are anti-federalist.

Correction, nearly the entire population of Earth is stupid.

Though, I have heard that Sparta might have been considered the first Democracy.

we still have the right to group up and discuss unpopular ideas.
Right there. I don't need to say anything else.
Instead of complaining that they're the minority, people should become the majority. Work for a common goal, like the majority is obviously doing. :/

Your claim that politics is not for the money (at least predominantly) is like saying people don't go to long lost cousins' birthday parties just for the food...

But even then, in a true democracy, it would still rely on majority rule. Some people are better as sheep letting their "shepherds" do what is right. If they don't like what their "shepherd" is doing, they can revolt, as long as the group is big enough.
Unless you are suggesting that we suddenly change it from majority rule to minority rule?

And I'm afraid that I don't get your analogy, I don't think you can compare the two.

When I think of profit driven, I'm thinking having to pay for services and products, like retail stores. Another point is there's a thing called nonprofit organizations, which many government organizations are like universities. That's my viewpoint from a business perspective, though. However, you're right that government positions is a lot of cash (taxes and funds). Spaghetti sounds better, though. :P

I'm saying that the minority should deal with the idea of majority rule. And that sheep analogy too; people can revolt if they want to.

The Government never needs money. They've got all they need.

If the Government needs money, why can't they just make some more?
:S

I mean the politicians themselves. The government has all the money they need due to taxes, but politicians usually sign up for the job to get a big ol' slice...

They care about the trees.

Then there wouldn't be an economics crisis :(

It would probably still be worth the same value

money used to grow on trees

But... if there was more, wouldn't it be worth less?

Supply and demand :3

It is all your fault, Jesh!

Anyway, to clarify, I am an Independent conservative, and I am in fact a Federalist. I like the Constitution to stay the way it is in general rather than being radically changed. There have been useful amendments added, I must admit, but amendments should never be removed and we should go easy on adding them too...
