Me too, but only because our system is so slow that it takes roughly 5 minutes to save an invoice some days. (b' ')b

OK.

So I guess it's allowed to do this kind of stuff... :|

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't like it if I came online at school though.
My school blocks everything. Plus, the teachers set up a new system thing that can watch you while your on the computer o.o

Sounds like how my high school functioned, which would have been a lot more tolerable if you didn't have to wait about seven minutes for you to actually log in.

I don't know why school systems care so much what the students are doing on the computers. When education is concerned, if you wanna screw your education up, I say go for it! All power to ya!

They had a program like that in some computer labs at my old high school.

And they had a web filter put in place about the same time they got that software.
But the ting is, the first warning is a referral the next is suspension D:

lmao, seriously?

I would expect that if you get caught on an inappropriate - or illegal - website, but not if you're just like... sitting there playing addictive games or watching YouTube. Maybe a scolding, but a referral?! That's a little much and just makes a mountain out of a mole hill.

Sammy's school has web filters too

And that program that lets them watch you on the computer..

So now Sammy can't play Portal: The Flash Version at school anymore...

They had some basic web blocks at my school but nothing else, as far as I know.

I used to be on PC all the time during my computer classes. Drove the teacher nuts, especially since she could scold me much because I still had a high 90 in her class and got all my work done before everyone else.

Yup. A lot of idiots in my school are smart when it comes to computers. They can hack into a system no sweat.

That's what I did it Microsoft Office. But I don't think she really cared as much as yours did. I know my graphic design teacher did, though! I would spend my entire time on PC and then when she came over she'd be all "Nick, where's the work you did?" To which my only reply could be "Oops." Then she'd make a disappointed face and walk away, telling me that I need to be more like I was last year and get my work done.

What a contradictory post...

><
Sorry if I sounded a little stupid in the last post.

I meant, they are idiots when it comes to every other class, but with computers they know how to hack into them.

:( Never had a policy like that.

Though my friend got his access privileges in the library revoked for a year because he obtained the admin password, shared it, and the librarian had a hissy fit. He was installing some software that would crunch numbers for a cancer lab, and he wouldn't have been caught if some of our other friends hadn't been messing around with harmless dialog box pop ups to mess with people. They did manage to lock out the sysadmin once, too. XDD
