Well despite an Aussie confused about poutine, I've got to say I was one of the few tourists who actually like:

If ever you see this on your shelves and are not from Australia, I dare you to buy it, and eat it on toast. If you throw it away, then you have failed!

Eurgh. Some kid brought that into school last year and dared me to eat it. ;; Why in the world did I accept the dare I do not know. D8

If you have ever eaten sour dough bread, or for the sake of imagination regular bread (with some sourness in it), add tons of salt, and subtract a bit of the taste of bread, and that is the closest thing I can describe as Vegemite. If you've ever have yeast extract, try to discern the taste of it, and just add lots of salt.

Also, I've been to Indonesia, and had some Indonesian cooking. They use sweet soya sauce instead of the regular salty kind we are used to (though I think it was the sweet kind that came first), needless to say it is more glutinous.

Also Indonesian food at first seems to be extremely spicy for the sake of spiceness, until you start to get used to it, and notice the flavour. Happened to me anyway.

That's just french fries, gravy and cheese... it just looks messy but it's one of the most delicious things in the world. <3

EDIT: PS... normal poutine cheese is melted, but EVEN STILL I STAND BY MY WORD!

They're French Fries? I kinda thought that at first :3

What's your intake about Ketchup Chips?

Hmmm well I couldn't find a vid with the proper quote but the closest thing was this:

I think Ralph sums it up the best though (at about 1:10):

Also Ketchup chips are to North America as Chicken/beef Chips are to Australia/New Zealand. XD

Need help on that post? There's a vid for that. XD

I thought Ketchup Chips were only sold in Canada?
And, um, that sounds odd. *is a vegetarian*

We have Popcorn chips. Of course, that's not hot chips.
