I know a few close friends of mine that have been to Japan to live for a few years and they absolutely loved it there. It was exactly how they thought it would be, so I would imagine the final say is down to everyone's personal opinion and experience. XD

Were most of them guys? I couldn't imagine a country like Japan being enjoyable for a large portion of women.

American women get off the boat, and like 50 japanese men run up to them and kidnap them and rape study them.

I will admit that I haven't, though I have took Japanese classes and learned about how their culture/behaviour is. I'd say it's pretty lenient for the most part, as Japanese people are pretty friendly, it's just that well...there are some things that, as I learned from experience, you're not really supposed to say or act in a certain manner to prevent from offending them...

Didn't you just get through saying it wasn't a lenient country? XD

And of course—there are different customs in the UK to the US that if you do something different you'll offend a good number of people. Japan isn't any different, it just has its own customs.

No, most were girls, actually. One couple who are now part of the family.

Well, I guess, if they're fluent and knowledgeable in the Japanese language, and if they met the right people that know their English, then yeah, the country just really isn't all that bad. I just...somehow know that Japan is nothing how anime portrays it to be. They're quite strict to their customs, but as long as you abide by those, then you're fine.

Does this mean... no miniskirts? Japan sucks.

Tch. I went there once and had my brain fried from confusion. Dowloading ROMs is just a big waste of space to me. Besides, I'd have to dowload forty things to "unzip" it, ten things to open it, five to save it, and three to play the intro movie of it, and forty more to play the first level.
