Considering the sheer popularity of anime art "stolen" from sites and a few Photoshop effects, mainly random things I have no idea what they're called, I believe that not having a signature is somewhat best.
Although, remember this; Make sure to be satisfied with your work. I'm not an artist, but I can assure you it is one of the most important things on making any sort of art.
