I'm also taking AP English.

I still need a read an old 19-century novel to do for a book report. D:

And now all we're doing is reading a book called "The Crucible".

Oh, I have AP English Language. Not Literature (That's next year) so we're only reading short stories (and The Scarlet Letter ;/)

Oh well, another persuasive essay. :P

...I also have AP Language. XD We rarely ever do essays, all we're doing is analyzing old literature.

I know, it's quite contrary to the course description, but a small bit does entail covering most old literature in Language, so I guess.

We almost have 45-Mintimed essay writing every 2 weeks or so. TT^TT

The last one was about Undocumented immigrants...or was it comparing 2 prose? I can't remember. XP

I suck at annotating and note taking tho. ;~;

Lol, yeah being wordy is one of my things too :/

Though I can also make something pretty profound too. I remember I did a research essay like 5 hours before it was due, and still got like 87% on it. XD Of course this doesn't reflect on other courses I take, but oh well. XD

English is one of those few classes where the teacher wants your opinion, along with the use of fact...

Whereas every other subject you have to deal with facts, be it history, philosophy, science etc... It isn't fun... But you do have to start with the basics, before you can gather an opinion on something that is factual...

...be it history, philosophy...

Whoah Facts on History and Philosophy? XD

AP classes are like murder. My advice to you is to not take them unless you're prepared for a heck of a lot of work. Of course, this is only if you school were offering them(which apparently, they don't).

It all pays off so well in the end. So there's a good side and a bad side, I suppose.

Yes, it really is a nice class (If you're into the subject) I can say though, that AP Chemistry is torture. Everyone who passed it in our school only got the passing 3. XD

But my classmate might get higher (a 4) since he's like doing the work on his head and get's (most) of the tests correct! XD (LOL 114% due to extra credit. XP) I only have a 93% ;o;

That makes sense. I've only heard a little bit about them, but yeah, they sound a bit tough ^^' And with my bad habit of procrastinating...

Like taking enough of them could help you earn enough credits to get you through college without having to pay much, right? I think that's what I was told...

Hmm... My school's pretty different from most schools. Then again, it is a private school XD And we don't really have social studies or science classes individually, though there's something called "Track" which is either methods of science (just any kind of science, basically) or social sciences/studies. Last year it switched between the two every quarter, but this time we're taking one of the two for a whole semester and then the other next (which will be in a couple of weeks or so). We also have blocks, or 1.5 hour teaching periods (out of all our 45 minute classes) that teaches us one specific subject (combinations and permutations, linguistics and poetics, etc.). And in those blocks we have to put together our own textbooks, though the teachers usually assign us to write/type pages of what we learned that day. The English/Social Studies teacher (generally) especially emphasizes this and has us turn in the pages the next day or so and edits them himself so we can revise them. The other teachers I've had don't really do this.

Oh, and we [the 10th grade, actually] get to go to another school for a month (staying with families that have kids there) to have a block with the kids up there. Since our class is small enough, after all, and the blocks sort of worked out so that we would be having the same block at the same time. Poor ninth grade, especially because my ninth grade (I had moved to NC, though, so I missed this) got to go to that same school last year in January.

We leave in March, by the way. I'll probably get to bring my laptop, so yay (b' ')b

tl;dr I talked about my school, and how my grade/class was going on a month-long trip to another school.

:P XD

You'd be surprised though, a lot of people think Philosophy is a class just for debating... And it's not... really... You can question the philosopher's stuff, but in the end, the teacher just wants you to know what and why the philosopher is saying that, regardless of what you think.

The funny thing is, my newest prof (teaching ethics), said to the class, that he wants it to be more objective than other classes that we have had perhaps in the past... The funny thing is, all of my philosophy classes have been objective... So, not sure what he meant by that. XD

A subjective philosophy class probably only exists in the course that requires you to write your own thesis, which is only one course, and the whole course is about research and writing something like a 40 page paper (not that long I imagine but I wouldn't be surprised if it was).

That's a boring class then. XD

Why should I listen to the pre-concieved notions of a dead guy? *shot*

And wow, Honors Chem was kinda easy. I took it in the summer. ^3^

Therefore adopting and refining their views no? XD

Actually it was kind of funny, the teacher talking about ethics, and moral relativism, had figured that the class didn't believe that a murderer doing killing is right... Funny thing is... I'm a moral relativist... But not in the sense as shown above.

It's hard to listen to dead people. I've tried!

Why don't I ever find pictures to go with what I say? :(

I never took "AP" classes cause.. I don't even think they offer them in Canada. I'd always taken University level courses in Highschool, though.. and I went to an arts HS.. which I was enrolled in the visual arts part..

.O. Now I'm in COLLEGE. I breeze through those mandatory electives that we gotta do (English and such) but yeah.. I'm doing more hands on stuff, obviously 'cause textbook stuff in Uni is completely useless for the field I'm getting into.

dead peeple dont say much, especially since there not alive
They can if you haz some.... Christian magic!

Why don't I ever find pictures to go with what I say? :(
Because you're not Chibi!

and Psychology sounds like a neat course to do. I once thought about pursuing it as a possible future career but gave up later because video games distracted me :3
