X_x Ugh reference :P
Actually, that reminds me of the time, when I was at the till (working at a movie/music/video game store) and this kid was telling me how Santa gave him a new DSi, despite him already having a regular DS and a PSP and I think some other systems...
Which was also kind of odd because the parents did not strike me as the "wealthy type" of couse I understand you don't have to be wealthy to buy tons of systems (in fact it can be the complete opposite), wherein the materialistic people are constantly fighting poverty, because they spend too much.
I have a friend who is the same. His house is nothing special, but they have like 50 inches TVs and shiny cars and everything.
The funny thing is... not to be too stereotypical or anything, but it tends to be that the richer folk buy things that are mostly easy listening (as well as classics like Beatles and Presley), otherwise, the middle and lower class buy everything else...
I'm sure Sociology can explain this, to some extent.
Don't people save up for Christmas throughout the year?
....
People who have well maintained homes, usually (Don't kill me for this.), don't have a lot of assets...
Their house is all they have, so I guess they would like it to look as good as possible.
As for the shiny cars, wax, wax it like your life depended on it.
What would you classify as a 'rich' family?
I on the other hand think, that it plays no roll in a persons choice..
You've got to try out everything before you can find out what you like.
Right?
I didn't just mean around Christmas, this thought of mine is from over a year of conclusion XD
But I also think it is because of how some of the working class are only focused on their work, and don't yet have a family.
I can tell a bit by how they act towards me, how they hand me money, the kind of clothes they are wearing, if they are talking on the cell phone, the type of mood they're in and their payment type. These all play a factor.
I'm young and I'm not dry humping a product from Apple. The cycle has been broken, peace and order has slightly been returned to the world.
Oh, don't be, it's not like you knew or anything.
On other news, I really want to see this movie, but like it was never released in cinemas nor DVD >:
