Sorry, I played through LG myself, and I could've sworn that

a) My character was female.
b) My character was not named "Red." (Actually since it was LG, my rival ("Blue" in HG/SS) was actually named "Red.")
c) My character had a far superior team.

And I also could've sworn that I OHKO'd or 2HKO'd his entire team. With my SS play-through team. So yeah, still in denial :3

Yes, which makes me wonder if some brainwashing didn't occur between R/B/Y/FR/LG and G/S/C/HG/SS to make people in Kanto forget the true champion and accept Red as the champion... it could make for a good fan fiction idea, if I was still into that...
