I say as long as they don't knock my power out for days, I'm alright with them. I love tropical storms though. o.o
 
As long as they don't like...horribly land rape your area, tropical storms are pretty fun. I've always loved rain and storms and just all the atmosphere that comes with it. I live in a coastal state, buuuut we don't exactly get rain too often, especially this year.
 
Tropical storms never rape us for some reason. I think all the trees somehow block every little thing. o.0
But they're relaxing...somehow. normal storms aren't...for osme odd reason.
I think I may just be weird. o.o"

Haha, I think all storms are pretty relaxing, especially the heavier ones. Though, there are sometimes I can't stand thunder, more so because it hurts my ears rather it freaking me out. XD;

Ooh I love storms like that. I really don't like going out in the heavier stuff, but if there's a nice, steady flow of rain that's just falling and not torrential and crashing down, it makes for a nice walk.
 
I live somewhat closer to the lake, but about 50 miles form it. xD
Southeastern part gets mauled a lot. >.>
I got mauled by a pinecone when the wind blew it and made it hit my leg. Omg it hurt. xD
No cuts though.

It straight up freaks me out. >.>
Mainly when I'm laying in bed. I don't wanna be bothered by all that when I'm trying to relax! D:

Haha, it used to freak me out when I was younger, but I just love thunder now. I like it when it's more along the lines of...rolling and crackling rather than "BOOMYOUJUSTDROPPEDYOURSODAONYOURLAP" loud. XD;

The only time I don't like storms is when they cause us to have no internet for a few days because something happened to the router (either it fried, or something else happened to it and it won't work) yay run on sentence

Ooh that does sound like it would be annoying, it's never actually happened to me, so I can't imagine what it would be like. Though, I guess it sorta does make our TV go out, not that I really watch TV all that much, but it can be annoying nights like tonight when I actually feel like watching stuff.

Same here. Then you have to come back to the sites you love with fifty things changed that you couldn't know about.

Oh same here. Rolling and crackling sounds soothing, the "BASHAGAMATHUGAFEWBLURETIGUHBUUUUUUUUUUUUH" annoys the crap and scares the hell outta me. >______>"

Haha, yeeeeah. @_@ I have ears that are sensitive to various tones, especially the louder thunder tones, so it really just hurts a lot more than anything else. Though there are still the odd times when it does catch me off guard and really just freaks me out. XD;

And I'm super sensitive to light when it comes to sight, so when the lightning comes it makes me jump even higher. e.e
Once a bolt of lighting SPIRALED DOWN a tree outside my mom's boss' office, we all freaked out. (i was there visiting)

Ah, man that sounds like it sucks, sorry to hear that. D: It doesn't bother me that much unless I happen to look at it straight on...which generally isn't too often because I rather like the gray and dark atmosphere that the storms provide. Ooh that sounds..kinda neat, actually! The same happened at a school I once attended with a tree on the front lawn, freaked kids out and it caught on fire. XD;

A Lightning Bolt once hit my friend's chimney and shook the house. I don't remember weather or not I jumped. xD; I'm easily startled, so mebbe.

I'd barely have a noticeable reaction. D; There's a small chance I might jump, but I'd probably just mostly think "HOLY HELL WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!" while staying mostly unfazed on the outside. D;

And our house was struck by lightning once... on our old satellite dish, and it fried a couple electronics because the cable from the dish wasn't properly grounded at the time. D;
