I've seen some clips from the show.. but I only got the feeling it's some kind of H-anime with a monster theme.

It's a mix between American Cartoon Style and Anime style. Hence why it is/is not an anime. Depends on how you look at it..
Probably the only good American attempt at anime.

He only had hair because he had to hide is arrow, they were in the fire nation after all. D: And he shaved it after like 4 episodes. :(
