The Dragons Of Korrain

"Get ready Nero." I whispered, still standing next to my dragon. "Things are about to heat up."

Koruni and Saphira could see someone at flying the other side of the area. Koruni growled again, narrowing his eyes.

"Oh, heck no, no you dont!" Saphira yelled, still dangling from his tail. "Remember what happened a few minutes ago? When you appeared from nowhere, demanding a fight? I will not allow that again!"

Koruni snorted, and flew toward them a bit, but didnt attack for once.

I came over to where the girl was, and stared down at her. My blood was still rushing from the fight, but I wouldn't hurt her. so I just stood there, not acting submissive, but definitely not attacking.

Hoshi looekd at the newcomer. I was nervous. This seemed liek a fighting dragon. Hoshi screeched playfully. "hoshi... I'm not so sure they're here to paly..." I said. Hoshi didn't seem to mind me as Hoshi hovered in the air and sort of chuckled at the appearance of the other dragon. 'Arr all she can think about is playing...' i tohught as I shook my head.

Unfortunatly, SOMEBODY must have heard the girl say I was a dragonrider, as I heard the general crowd fall silent, with occasional mutterins of "a dragonrider? here?" and i immediatly hopped onto Shadow's back, knowing that I was found out, and this place was going down. Right about now dramaticies would be saying "You're all under arrest!" but I figured the other guy could do that better than I..

"Alirhgt, Nero, let's go!' I jumped up on his back and he reared, sending everyone enarby flying . we took off, now seen by the crows in teh stands. Now they knew they wre in trouble, and were fleeing like mad. But the crowd wasn't a major concern. What was were the remaining five red dragons.

Koruni snorted, charginf up a Electro Beam inside of his mouth. "Dont even think About it." Saphira said dangerously, tugging gently at one of his blue-green scales. Thats why Saphira had made the sattle, because he couldnt stand having his scales pulled.

"I swear, Koruni, if you attack them..." Saphira said, shaking her head. Koruni thought about nothing but her, food, and fighting. He had a sweet personality, if you acctualy had time to get use to him, and not get yourself blown to bits, but when he was around the battle area, Koruni was a whole different Dragon.

Saphira shook her head. When will he learn? She wondered.

I saw one of the red dragons take off, though it wasn't the other officer's, I could tell. I ducked down, as the red sent a burst of red-hot fire toward me and Shadow

As soon as she jumped on my back, I spread my winds, and began flapping to gain altitude, I knew that she wanted to get out of here, and I couldn't blame her. I leapt up with my legs, managing to catch air in time to avoid the
fire
from the red

Saphira could see the Red Dragons attacking the Dragon Riders below. She loathed Dragon Riders, but couldnt let them die. She could feel Koruni's urge to fight someone... Saphira got an idea.

"Ko, you wanna fight, right?" She asked, knowing what his answer would be. Koruni's eyes widened. He sent a small spark her way as a way of saying that what he's been wanting to do for the past few days. Saphira smiled. "Well, theres a couple of Red Dragons down in the are-EEEEEEEEE!!!"

Koruni had shot down to the area before Saphira could finish her sentence. He landed, a few clouds of dust rising around his feet. He shot a Beam he had been holding for awhile at the Red Dragon that shot a fire blast at the female Dragon Rider.

I sent a simple mental order to Shadow: "Take all the reds down, I don't care how." though I had gotten out my auto, and was peircing another red's wings, until it crashed to the ground with a roar, but was still alive. 2 or 3 left...

I heard, and understood what she said, and swerved immidiately, after an other flying red, and catching it in my front legs, holding it immobile on the bases of it's wings, as I proceeded to tear into it with my back legs.

Koruni tackled another, slamming it into the ground. It opened its yellow eyes and growled, hitting Koruni with its tail. He spun around a few times, and fell to the ground, rolling a few more time, almost crushing Saphira.

Koruni shook his head, and rose into the air again, shooting an Electro Beam at it. It hit the Red in the chest, but didnt bring it down. Koruni and the Red charged at each other, but the Red got Koruni first. He roared in agony, and used his hindlegs to kick the Red Dragon off him. There was no way Koruni was going to let this Dragon win.

Well, there was only one, and it was the one that the blue dragon was fighting. this had been over quickly. almost too quickly. It didn't matter, the day had been hectic enough, and I could sence it was night. i shifted again, moving so that i was laying down, but not obstructing the dragon's wings.

Koruni grabed it by the neck, and swug it around a few times. He flung it at the ground, but it ended up destroying half of the risers and a few walls. Koruni roared triumphantly, and landed on the ground.

"excellent work." I said, though not moving. it was peaceful like this, for once. nothing trying to kill me or call me to another mission. even though we were in an illegal arena..

In her mind Saphira had always wanted to be a Dragon Rider, since she was a young girl. But her step-father forced her to enter a Dragon Battle one year, and she had won. After that, things went downhill.

"What else would there be?" Saphira said coldly from Koruni's back jealousy and longing in her eyes, "What did you expect us to do, lose?"

Getting bored, Koruni took flight, rising intio the air, and leaving the area.

I lay down once the reds were taken care of, and almost instantly, droppied into a doze myself. For some reason, I felt completely exhausted today, though it wasn't form the fighting, that wouldn't have even made me a bit fatigued...
