"looks like we're camping here for the night. at least, I am..." I said, though I didn't mind. I layed down next to Shadow, keeping aginst him, since he was a lot warmer than anything that was around...

without thinking, purely out of instinct, I curled around her, knowing that she'd be warmest this way, as well as sheltered from the wind. Visibly relaxed, I was already asleep as I finished the motion...

"Do you ever think we'll find a home, Ko?" Saphira asked her dragon. She was leaned against him, gazing up at the stars. "Somewhere where we can stay forever?"

Koruni snorted as if saying "Yeah right..." Saphira smiled sadly. "I guess not... "

The warmth of Shadow aginst me was enough to relax me even though I wasn't home, and soon I too fell asleep, knowing that transport would soon take the other dragons away. And they knew enough to hardly make a sound if they did so..

hoshi landed softly and silently outside the arena. I hopped off her and lay against her. I still regretted that I hadn't helped the others though. I just didn't want Hoshi to get hurt. Hoshi curled up around me and I soon drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

Saphira sighed. She wrapped Koruni's tail around her for more warmth. "Koruni... I dont know what I would do without you..." She said, closing her eyes and smiling. Eventualy, sleep took Saphira and Koruni.

I woke up what was probably only a few minutes later to the sound of the transport crew, and immediatly got to my feet, helping them get the tranquilised dragons loaded up and taken away to a better owner. I sighed lightly, pacing, though trying to keep silent so Shadow wouldn't awaken.

I lifted my head, and looked after her curiously, wondering what was going on. Normally, I'd be disturbed by the transport crew's presence, but I was extremely groggy from having just woken up...

"there goes the notion of not waking you up." I said, though continuing to pace. i knew it really had been only a few minutes that I had been asleep, and I sighed. insomnia and unintended anorexia. wonderful. it would explain why my skin had turned so pale..

I snorted, in a tone that suggested I didn't mind, and rose to my feet, when I stopped dead in my tracks. I had understood that. not just the meaning, but I had heard her words, and knew their meaning. I stood there, halfway through getting up, too stunned to move.

Koruni lifted his head. He could hear something... The Blue Green mix uttered a low growl, and narrowed his eyes, staring at the horizon.

"Wha...? Whats wrong-" Saphira yawned, "-Ko? Something botherin' you?" She pushed his tail off her and stood up, stretching. Koruni wrapped his tail around her wrist, and picked her up.

"Hey!" Saphira said, now fully awake. "What are you doing?" Koruni placed her on his back, but didnt takeflight, like he normaly did. Instead, he just sat there, his gaze fixed on the land before them.

ooc: i dunno whats coming... perhaps some more officers?

OOC: your plot, you're a good ways away from us.. it could be that stalker that you keep mentioning..

IC: I watched him for a moment, when I understood. he had managed to start understanding the human language. It would make things a bit easier, though I still decided that mental communication would be more effective. I moved over to his side, running my hand along his scales, mostly just trying to make him happy. I knew he still needed a lot of treatment before his past wouldn't effect him...

ooc: good idea. i fogot about them.^^'

ic: "Ko.... Are you alright...?" Saphira asked, caressing his turquiose scales. He dragon only growled louder. Saphira looked up. A cloud of dust was rising. Saphira felt sick to her stomach.

I felt her reasurance, and visibly relaxed, no longer startled by the fact I understood. If she thought things were all right, then they were. I had no reason not to trust her completely...

What on Korrain could be making Koruni act this way? The only time he ever goes beserk is if he wants tofight or prove something... Saphira thought, shifting around in her seat.

A large cloyd of dust rose, and looked like it was headed tey're way. Saphira froze. It... It cant be! She thought, hardly breathing. I thought that last battke had killed them!

"Rachel!" I heard an angry voice say. I spun around, and recognised my boss. I couldn't see his expression, as he had a tendency to cover his mouth and nose with his bandana, but I still knew he was furious. He moved right in front of me, and i looked at the rider's hat he wore, and his leather clothing, even boots. I was scared stiff, my boss was my main hatred.

"What do you think you're doing?!? Coming out here, and entering a dragon fight, with what's worse, a new, untamed dragon that you just got from the LAST fight jsut a few hours ago! it's nowhere near tame! I doubt you've even botherd to dis-infect the slashes those hatchlings gave you!"

I looked down at my arms, and saw that he was right, I was bleeding. "There is nothing worse then having a young, inexperienced rider on our team!" He growled, grabbing me by the wrist, and hauling me roughly with him. to his crew, he said "boys, sedate the dragon, we'll be giving him to a better owner."

"So be it. But this young lady still cannot take proper care of a dragon." the boss said, as one of the human medics came over. "or herself." he finished, as the medic started to dis-infect the slashes all over me. I could see one with a tranqulizer aiming for Shadow's neck, but i couldn't do anything..

I snapped my head around, knocking the person near my neck over without a sound, and i quickly reared up to face the larger human intimidating her. I could understand more and more of what they were saying, and I could guess what I didn't. I lowered my neck, pressing the humans around her back, me muzzle between him and rachel as I began growling...
