The Dragons Of Korrain

I continued working at it, totally ignoring the dragon, until I felt my knife hit something other than rock. What seemed no more than a few minutes later, I held in my hand what seemed like a fang. A dragon fang. But unlike the fangs of most dragons, I found that this one seemed... hollow... meaning it once transferred venom.. no dragon today could do that, but there was no reason to think that prehistoric dragons couldn't...

I crooned curiously, stretching my neck over to look at the object. It looked like a fang, but it smelled like a rock. I flicked out my tongue curiously, just touching the surface of the fang. It tasted like rock, too...

I smiled slightly, not many people had to deal with fossils. Suddenly, my face paled as I heard the radio I had turned on. "oh lord, not NOW..." I said, bringing the radio to my ear.

"Rachel, this is urgent! we've got a wild red dragon on the loose. it's moving fast toward a residental area! Lightning's the only one that can fight well enough to bring it down! you're our only hope!" I heard the commander's voice say. I knew i was doomed at this point.. the one time i desperatly needed a dragon and the only one around hadn't been tamed...

I balked at the sudden noise before investigating the strange noisemaker, I flicked out my tongue, unnable to figure out how it had made the sounds, and inadvertently brushing against the human's ear.

I was about ready to cry again... I couldn't stand not just standing by and watching people get killed... and i was the only person that oculd do anything, and not even I had an option... I felt like a faliure... riding a dragon that didn't want to be ridden was the greatest impossibility ever...

I cocked my head to the side again, crooning worriedly as I felt her sorrow return. I nudged her again, trying to cheer her up. I couldn't figure out why she was sad, but i knew I didn't want her to be sad.

"Just leave me alone, alright?" I said, frustrated, more with myself than anything. I had failed. for once in my life, I failed, and it couldn't have been something as simple as not being able to find one of my items, this time I'd failed at my job, my specialisation..

I felt her snap, and suddenly, I realized what was wrong. Iremembered seeing her ride in on the other dragon, the way she had gotten onto me. She wanted me to take her somewhere, and I hadn't cooperated! I felt guilty for a moment, before deciding to try and right what I had done wrong. I slipped my head and neck under her, literally sliding her onto my back, in the general area where she had gotten onto me before.

I was literally shocked speechless. this dragon was obviously a lot smarter than i had thought. but again, training it to obry human orders wouldn't be easy, it would be too much to hope that it would be able to understand and communicate with me, but i suddenly remembered how he had been conveying emotions to me, and i decided to see if it would work both ways by closing my eyes, and knowing the sector that the dragon had been reported in, pictured it in my mind, hoping the dragon would understand that it was where i needed to be, and quickly... thankfully, the room had an open roof unless it was raining or exceptionally hot, and today it was neither...

I saw the picture, and thought that that's where she wanted me to take her. Without hesitating, I spread my wings, and flapped a few times, leaping up into the air with the extra lift, and began gaining altitude, so I could see where this place was...

I had a hard time hanging on, and because this was still an untrained dragon, it wouldn't know to make it easy for the rider, but it didn't matter. after that green one had tried to throw me off, i could deal with just about anything. I could only hope we could get there in time...

OOC: I can fill you in, Shiney electrode and her dragon got in a fight, the black dragon and shieyelectrode made a bond, and she got the cblack dragn to take her to a place she needed to go to fight a red rampaging dragon, and they're heading there right now.

OOC: Gosh... I hate it when you two do soooo much by yourself >_>

IC: I mounted my pink dragon. My dragon, Hoshi, had recieved more red genes then blue genes and thus, was a puplish pink. Her scales glittered in the sunlight as I mounted her back. Hoshi was best suited for fighting rather then flying but it didn't matter much. I didn't plan on ever using her in dragon fights. She flew fast enough anyway. Just a bit under how fast a blue coudl fly. She was well rounded like a green.

Hoshi crouched down and then jumped up into the air and spread her wigns. She flapped a few times to gain altitude and flew over where there had been an illegal dragon fight. Hoshi took note of a black dragon in the distance. Hoshi made a small screech and motioned over to the black dragon.

"Follow it." I said in a soft voice. I only hoped we wouldn't be spotted. Black dragon were rare and i had no idea what they could do. I didn't even know this dragon had jujst come from an illegal dragon fight. Hoshi sped up and trailed behind the dragon...

I waited for the beast to attack. "Of course I can take a fight, but I dont want to kill you!" I said proudly. I didn't know this dragon and for all I knew, it might kill us both, but I never let fear show, never, only confidence.

OOC: you two really didn't do alot I mean alot of it was just talking so I mean al they had t do was read back not much happened, I dont think you have any reasont o be sorry FT,

OOC: enough with the sympathy, kay?

IC: I finally steadied myself, and i got another message from my boss. "that thing's out of control! there's no hope now in knocking it out! you'll have to destroy it!" I immediatly understood, though it was painful, but i sweeped aside all emotions, and put an item on my arm. Shortly said, it was like a bow&arrow, but diffrent in the fact it was automatic, and launched spears sharp enough to get through a dragon's scales. Dragon fighting was still illegal, so when it came to dragon slaying, I had to do it myself...

Gwin sat on top of a tree in the park, looking down at her dragon Dazzle who seemed to be sleeping soundly. She was bored, yet lucky that her father hadnt grounded her for running off in the arena the other day.
The young girl sighed, and jumped from the tree branch and onto the ground. Just then, Dazzle awoke and stood up. He stood there for a moment, and then yawned into Gwin's face.
"Ew...Dazzle!" Gwin giggled, sheilding her face from the dragons horrible breath.
Gwin then jumped onto Dazzle's back, and he growled playfully. Minutes later they were in the sky overlooking the place in which they lived.
