Gwin looked at Dazzle, whom was flapping his wings restlessly.
"What do you say, boy?" she asked, and soon after watched him nod his head. "Okay! You can follow us then..."
Gwin carefully climbed onto the black dragon, a little nervous at first.
"Are you sure he doesnt mind?" the twelve year old asked, clinging to Rachel so she didnt fall off.

The black dragon shifted uneasily, but was still giving me an affirmitive. "he seems to be okay with it" I said, as I planted a picture of the medical facility in his mind, and he took off, though keeping level this time so he wouldn't knock either of us off. I knew it would only be a simple glide to get back, but the exhilieration of flight had taken over my mind.

As the black dragon took flight, Gwin began to relax. She looked behind her occasionally to make sure that Dazzle was keeping up. The young dragon wasnt that great at navigation, and Gwin often worried about him.
"I cant wait to see all the dragons..." Gwin finally said, after a moment of silence.

I was curious as to where they were going. "Lets follow them. But do it from the ground." I told Hoshi. Hoshi screeched plafully and began to run down the street after them. She was a pretty good runner. Thoguh after a while, we began to lose sight of them. "Follow from the air now." I said to Hoshi. Hoshi gave a loud screech of hapypness and hopped into the air. She flapped her wings to gain altitude. They were a good distance away from them but they were still in sight. Hoshi followed them and the yellow dragon dilligently.

"most of them are hatchlings, because I don't have room for more than 2 adult dragons." I said, as the black dragon slowly decended into the medical facilities. I immediatly slid off, and got ready to help the other girl off too. Though the dragon more looked like he was ready for a nap, and i couldn't blame him.

Copying Rachel, Gwin slowly slid of the dragons back, but didnt have a nice landing. She landed on her knees, and scraped them slightly.
"Ow...he is a really big dragon..." Gwin said to herself, standing up. Dazzle then landed a small distance away from her.
"Alright, Dazzle...you stay here until I come back. Dont get into any trouble..." she said to the mischievious dragon.
"I'm ready!"

"good. watch your hands though, they normally don't bite, but sometimes they do it on accident." I said, movign to a nearby doorway made for humans only. "they're in here, they'd be a nusiance anywhere else" I said, as I opened the door, and stepped in. it was pretty hot in the room thanks to the incubators, and the tempature needed to keep the hatchlings healthy, but I didn't mind it at all. All over the floor, hatchlings of all colors were scurrying around, oblivious to my entrance. only a few cages were in the room, to hold those that had a serious problem. In a far room were the incubators, holding both eggs and newborns. the youngest ones that had hatched less then a day ago still were covered by a fuzzy down, for reasons htat I didn't know other than insulation.

"Awww...they're so adorable..." Gwin said, lifting her foot as a hatchling ran under it. "There are so many..."
There was no doubt about it, this was the best experience in her life next to riding Dazzle.
"This is amazing..." she said, bending down as a dragon came up to her. She tickled it under the chin, before it ran away.
"Thank you so much for bringing me here, Rachel!" Gwin said. "You've made me very happy".

"no problem. If you really wanted to, you could come over any time you like and help me with the hatchlings. it's a chore working alone, especially with the big guy around" I said with a laugh. Suddenly, all the hatchlings fell silent and looked at me. "not again." I muttered, before they all suddenly rushed me, knocking me over and licking my face "I've been mobbed!!" I managed to say

"Really? That would be great!" Gwin said, as she finished her sentence just in time. Right when she finished the hatchlings jumped onto Rachel, knocking her to the ground. Gwin giggled, and sat down on the floor.
This must be the best day ever! Gwin thought, grasping her necklace in her hand.

"stay as long as you like." I said, noticing that one of the dragons had a slight limp, nothing too bad, probably just sore or had a small scratch. picking it up and examining the leg, I found a small cut. I got out a small bandage, and handed it and the hatchling to Gwin. "mind bandaging this one up real quick, I need to go check up on something." I said. I never brought my radio in here, as it freaked out the hatchlings.

I brought my head to the door, though I could only fit my snout in there. I snorted irritably for a moment, befor pulling away and walking around the place, looking for a way in. I could smell many other dragons in there, and I didn't like her being there with all of them for some reason. I began whining lightly as soon as I realized there was no way to get in, and brought my head to the doorway again...

I finally managed to get out of the mob of hatchlings, and moved toward the door, hearing the black's whine. when I finally managed to get out, I said, slightly irritated "I swear, I can't go anywhere anymore." though I knew the hatchlings were in good hands until I could get back..

I made a light sound deep in my throught, somewhere between a coo and ruff, as I nudged her lightly, glad that she was away from all the other dragons, though she still smelled like them...

"Okay...I'll try my best..." Gwin said. Slowly and carefully as ever, Gwin slowly patched up the hatchlings wound, talking to it softly while she worked. In a few minutes, the twelve year old estimated that he would be as good as new in a few days.

Gwin smiled at the little dragon as it squeaked playfully, and licked her finger.
"You're so cute..." Gwin giggled, putting the hatchling on the floor to wonder around once again.

I smiled slightly, glad to be back in the presence of the older dragon, though I moved over to the radio as I could hear it again, and brought it to my ear. "This is an announcement to any and all dragonriders. Dragons now are to be grouped in the enclousures by gender to prevent breeding. This does include gender changes. Thank you for your time."

I sighed lightly, and startd to head back into the hatchling room to let Gwin know of this, and to offer to let her stay over so that she could keep Dazzle with her during the night.

When Rachel returned, Gwin was on the ground playing happily with the little hatchling.
"Hello, Rachel!" Gwin said, waving. "Did you get to finish what you were doing?"

I began whining as soon as she entered again. I Really didn't like her being in there where I could smell many, many other dragons with her. I pressed my sout in the doorway, I knew I couldn't force my way in, but I wanted to get her attention.

"yeah. But listen, the commander just sent out a report that all the dragons will be seperated from thier owners at night and placed in special enclousures by gender. however, thanks to a legal order from the court, I can keep any and all dragons here for the night. I guess what I'm saying is, do you and Dazzle want to spend the night here?" I said, looking back toward the black dragon and giving a mental order for him to wait a moment...
