5th Gen The Dreamy World

I think the sun boost may be enough to boost Ninetales into OU, as it boosts STAB Fire Blast up and it can function as a great sun lead, since its so fast. :D same with Politoed.

I think Ninetales will end up in OU whilst Politoed will get moved into the higher part of UU

Some people seem to be forgetting that when I pokemon receives it's Dream World ability is won't retain it's old one.

I went "WTF" when:
-Ninetales got Drought (looks like it could see some use in Sun teams)
-Politoed got Drizzle (same for Rain teams)
-Goldeen/Seaking got LightningRod (why would they get those abilities when they're weak to Electric?)

I love these Pokemon + ability combinations:
-Breloom + Technician (its Mach Punch is going to hit as hard as Scizor's Bullet Punch)
-Mothim/Butterfree + Tinted Lens
-Chinchou/Lanturn + Water Absorb (at least they get something else to switch in to)
-Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken + Speed Boost (now Blaziken gets to outrun Infernape if it stays in battle long enough)

More to come.

Lanturn with Water Absorb is pretty much useless. It already resists water, compared to electric which is neutral to it. Not to mention thunder waves and such. Volt absorb is still by far the better option. Suicune with Water absorb though. Daaaaamn. Breloom and Blaziken are going to be sick.

Oh good God Togekiss with super luck will be totally obnoxious. D:

Sharpedo and Blaziken with speed boost! And Luxray with Guts? :D That is win. Goldeen and the Pikachu family kinda got shafted though.

Togekiss loses Serene Grace so it won't be anymore obnoxious than other Super Luck Pokemon (which, admittedly, is still pretty obnoxious.)

Did no one else notice freaking Gliscor with Poison Heal!? :'(

I noticed it, but I didn't have a comment for it. Now, I do: it can turn Toxic Orb into a more efficient version of Leftovers, just like Breloom can. This increases Gliscor's physical walling capabilities by switching into status while it's poisoned.

Give Gliscor the toxic orb and teach it Roost. It wont die. :D major upgrade in my opinion.

Toxic was once a very sufficient way of killing Gliscor, now it's healed by it and it can no longer be burned or put to sleep. Grreat.

Chances are if you can't OHKO it from the get go, you won't be able too. Now imagine it on a sandstorm team. It could stall from here to Doomsday if it wanted too.

It's going to be very hard to competitive battle now. It will be literally impossible to anticipate or plan because there are so many new variables.

Wow. These changes will make a whole lot more pokemon be UU/OV/BB and banned from competitive battling. I think if a new ability makes a pokemon way too strong they will just ban the pokemon with that certain ability from competitive battling, not the pokemon in general.

Question, to access the Dream World, can I do it i nthe actual game or do I need Nintendo Wi-Fi?

Yay! Every Pokemon get's a new ability from the Dream world

[S-HIGHLIGHT]Seems like 1 Pokemon abilities like Drizzle and Drought are now on Pokemon that arn't legends like Ninetales and Vulpix with Drought and Politoad with Drizzle.[/S-HIGHLIGHT]

See for your self :O

Oh, great! It was bad enough that Groudon and Kyogre didn't have official signature moves (unless you count Eruption and Water Spout, which is a stretch), but now they don't even have signature abilities to make them special! :cer_cry:

On the plus side, at least this ends the "Pressure-mania" thing we've been seeing from Legendaries lately... :)

And IMO, Moltres (and Ho-Oh) should have had Flash Fire, since it is constantly being said to dip itself in lava to heal itself. That, and they're freaking phoenixes! Articuno should have had "Snow Warning", since it is constantly being said to herald snowstorms and such while flapping its wings...

All the "LightingRod" instances are starting to annoy me, because it is completely useless in Single Battles... :( Zapdos should've gotten Motor Drive or Volt Absorb instead...

And I LOL'd at Caterpie and Weedle getting "Run Away" as an alternate ability :cer_laugh: (even though it's practically useless)

Blaziken's family all has Speed Boost :O.

This may put Blaziken into OU.

AWESOME! Finally, my beloved Starter can gain more respect in battles! :cer_boogie: That is good game design, considering Speed was the major factor noted by fans that hindered its chances of being sighted in OU in Generation IV.

EDIT: And now Enbuoo/Pignition w/Reckless and Flare Blitz has me pumped! :pink_boogie: The Generation V game and metagame are going to be something spectacular, indeed. :D
