(OOC: AFGH, sorry it took me so long to start! I had no idea this had started already. ^^; )
Tsukiko's scowl deepened as she brushed a tuft of brown hair from her face for about the umpteenth that day.
Today was the day that she was to visit the Seiteki Village, to 'fufill her duty as Soukutsu Town's Chosen One', as her father had put it. And of course, she had protested(Why wouldn't she? Seiteki town was surely nothing compared to her hometown. The idea of visiting the place was degrading.), to no avail, obviously, as she was heading towards the dreaded place on her family's yacht. Judging from the ever-brightening and evermore-annoying sun, she was getting closer to her destination.
The young teenager glanced back at her Pokemon, Riley and Francene. The Shuppet and Fuwante(Respectively.) looked just as uncomfortable, if not more than she was. Of course, she could understand why, in their case: It was a well known fact that Ghosts and bright sunlight didn't exactly mix too well. Granted, it wasn't horribly lethal as some might like to believe, but it was quite an annoyance to the two nonetheless. And of course, with her Pokemon being so lightweight, the wind wasn't helping matters much.
Tsukiko didn't know whether to be amused or to feel pity when Riley began to vigorously protest as a strong gust of wind pushed the two back a few feet. (Francene, being the way she was, didn't voice her opinion, but it was quite obvious from her expression that she really wanted to. Being a balloon Pokemon, wind was obviously not something she was fond of.) The trainer ended up expressing the mix of the two in the end, as she found herself chuckling as she recalled the two back into their Pokeballs.
Then, as if right on cue, the yacht arrived at their destination, earning a huge sigh of relief from the young girl. (She hated traveling. It always made her wait: Something she never liked to do.)
Immediately, one of the many bodyguards Tsukiko's father had hired came to escort her off the yacht, leaving a scowl on her face. While she was happy to be off the ship, the fact that she had an escort perturbed her. She was perfectly capable of doing this alone, but no, her father had insisted that she be under constant supervision.
As the two walked towards their destination, they walked by a ramen stand, which piqued Tsukiko's curiosity. She didn't know why, but she felt... compelled to join the other teens that were there. It was really strange.
Hoping to find out why she had that feeling by joining them, the girl stopped in her tracks, folding her arms over her chest.
"I'm hungry. Let's go to that ramen stand over there."
The guard gave her a perplexed look.
"Why the ramen stand? There's plenty of food back at the yacht, and besides, I don't think your father would want you dwelling in such... common places."
Tsukiko huffed, clearly annoyed. She knew that this was going to happen... it always did.
Not that it mattered: Eventually, she was going to get what she wanted. Turning on her heel, she headed towards the ramen stand anyway, stating in a matter-of-fact manner, "I'm going there, and there's nothing you can do about it. Oh, and just stay over there: I don't want you hovering over my shoulder as I eat."
Now the guard was looking annoyed himself.
"Miss Tsukiko, you know I can't do that. Your father insisted that I constantly keep you under my watchful eye."
Tsukiko merely grinned, pointing to the stand.
"But I will be under your 'watchful eye', see? You can clearly see what's going on from here."
"Well, yes, but-"
"But nothing! I'm going over there, you're staying over here, and there's nothing you can do about it. After all, if you don't do what I say, all I have to do is tell daddy that you did something bad, and, poof! No paycheck for you!"
The guard was clearly perturbed, but eventually gave in. She did have a point, after all.
"Yes, ma'am."
Tsukiko gave a malicious grin that would have made her inner spirit proud, then continued to make her way into the ramen stand. She was going to find out what was drawing her to the people there, whether her bodyguard wanted to or not.
(OOC: Whew... I hope that's good enough. And I hope I succeeded in making Tsukiko a snotty little brat. XD; )
