THE ELF MADE ME 'DO EET' !!!

So this is one of my favourite teams as of late. Not because its effective but because it's bulky (Yus, Yanmega is bulky) in a way and because it's just fun to play with (to me at least :< ). I don't know how to categorize this but I'll just say it's 'balanced'. And as Jake said, "
I give you the team so you may bask in its glory rate it and either rip it to shreds or make small changes." <-- Obviously

The New Lead On The Block

    "image removed"
    Empoleon @ Chople Berry
    Torrent
    252 HP / 20Att / 236 SAtt
    Quiet nature

    > Stealth Rock
    > Grass Knot
    > Hydro Pump
    > Aqua Jet

I saw Empoleon last time I faced Jake in the Get-Together tournament. I lurked his teams and found the set. The thing about Empoleon is that he accomplishes what he does, and that's kill somebody' lead or get up rocks.

The Scout with the Wrecking Ball

    "image removed"
    Flygon @ Choice Band
    Levitate
    252 Att/252 speed/4 Def
    Adamant nature

    > U-Turn
    > Fire Punch
    > Earthquake
    > Outrage

CBgon is incredibly versatile and my team benefits from all of it's specialties. It takes para aimed at any member of the team, Scouts early in the game and dishes damage out in the late-game. Flygon has taken down whole teams on his own in the times he has seen combat and is a huge benefactor for this team.

The Guy who has too many sets to choose from
    "image removed"
    Latias @ Life Orb
    Levitate
    4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
    Timid nature

    > Draco Meteor
    > Surf
    > Thunderbolt
    > Recover

To be honest, Latias has so many sets to use. This is the second set in testing after the bulky CM and to be honest, I haven't seen any use yet. That's not to say it's not useful, it dishes out damage like no tomorrow and yet it has full health. The only thing I really miss is reflect support from the other set as pursuiters often come in.

    The Late-Game Sweeper
    "image removed"
    Lucario @ Life Orb
    Inner Focus
    252 Atk/252 Spd/4 HP
    Adamant nature

    > Swords Dance
    > Extremespeed
    > Crunch
    > Close Combat

Everyone knows Lucario but for the sake of formality we shall run through it. Lucario is supposedly the best Late-Game sweeper this side of the attack spectrum. After a Swords Dance, this thing Murders everything with it's STAB attack, Close Combat, and the strongest priority available, Extremespeed. Access to Crunch let's me kill ghost- and bulky phychics.

This thing usually comes in when the team has been scouted, comes in and sets up on Choice Users and Blissey (lol).

    The Ultra Lure
    *pokemonelite2000 image removed*
    Heatran @ Leftovers
    Flash Fire
    4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
    Timid nature

    > Substitute
    > Flamethrower / Fire Blast
    > Earth Power
    > Toxic

Heatran lures out bulky waters and poisons them leaving them to deal with my Fighters with their HP slowly sapping away due to toxic. I use Flamethrower > Fire Blast because I usually get really frustrated over misses in critical moments so Flamethrower usually suffices. More PP doesn't hurt either (:.

Meh, I'm still testing Fire Blast :<

    The Revenge Killer

    *pokemonelite2000 image removed*
    Starmie @ Choice Scarf
    Natural Cure
    4 HP / 252 SAtt / 252 Spe
    Modest nature

    > Surf
    > Ice Beam
    > Thunderbolt
    > Trick

Starmie is here to basically revenge everything xD. At the same time, it helps with my Gyara and RP Rhyperior weak while also enabling me to revenge Mence and incapacitate Blissey with a useless tool (:.

So this is my team and as of now so have a nice day and comment ! (:

Dragon Dance Gyarados completely wrecks this team, seriously. It can pretty much get a free set-up against the likes of Heatran, Lucario, and even Mantine, and let me tell you, once it does you'll be 6-0'd without a second thought. A moveset of Dragon Dance / Waterfall / Stone Edge / Ice Fang basically spells death for this team, and there is nothing you can really do to stop it. In order to combat this (very) common threat, I'd reccomend you drop Mantine for a more viable bulky Water. Of all the bulky Waters you can use, Vaporeon, Suicune, and Slowbro counter Gyarados the most effectively, Suicune working the best due to having the highest defenses, but Slowbro deserves a mention due to instant recovery, thus not having to rely on Rest + Sleep Talk to recover health. For this team, Suicune would seem like the best option, as it will be able to check things like Gyarados, Infernape, Metagross, and even Salamence (if you run Ice Beam). A standard 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpA spread could work, though the moveset is completely up to you. Try to incorporate Hidden Power Electric to stop Gyarados. If you'd like, the following spread could work decently:

    Suicune @ Leftovers
    Timid
    252 HP / 42 SpA / 216 Spe
    ~Calm Mind
    ~Substitute
    ~Surf
    ~Hidden Power Electric

Can take advantage of Heatran's Toxic, allowing to outstall and eventually defeat the likes of Blissey and Snorlax (though if it has ResTalk you end up having a more difficult time). You could use Ice Beam over Substitute, and pump more EVs into Defense to ensure things like Outrage from a Dragon Dance Salamence fail to OHKO. With Suicune, you'll end up having a more solid defensive core, meaning you can work on your offenses. The first problem I see with your offenses is that they do not cover each other's weaknesses well. Bulk Up Hitmontop and Swords Dance Lucario are stopped by the same things and don't necessarily do enough damage to their similar counters to wear them out. If you wish to use Swords Dance Lucario, Stealth Rock is an absolute must, ensuring your Extremespeed will finish certain foes off. I'd honestly replace Hitmontop for a Gliscor. Not only does Gliscor deploy Stealth Rock, but it counters Swords Dance Lucario, something that can destroy your team granted it gets a free switch-in (not likely, but the threat remains). You can try out:

    Gliscor @ Leftovers
    Jolly
    252 HP / 42 Def / 216 Spe
    ~Stealth Rock
    ~Earthquake
    ~Taunt / U-turn
    ~Roost

This guy will not only be able to stop Lucario, but also check Tyranitar, status enducers such as Breloom (Taunt), and even scout if you decide to run U-turn. Gliscor also has decent synergy with Suicune, as they both cover each other's weaknesses decently. I also reccomend you try out Fire Blast over Flamethrower, as it can secure some 2HKOs and OHKOs. I can link you to some calculations if you'd like. You're new lineup should look like this:

    Yanmega / Gliscor / Latias / Lucario / Heatran / Suicune

    @ Bedlam

After reading your post and doing some testing, I made it around 1400 before I realized that the team had to be changed.

A moveset of Dragon Dance / Waterfall / Stone Edge / Ice Fang basically spells death for this team, and there is nothing you can really do to stop it.
For this problem, I put in a reflect Starmie to counter Gyara and support the team with screens seeing not many of them can take Physical hits 'well'.

Stealth Rock is an absolute must, ensuring your Extremespeed will finish certain foes off.
Addressing this problem, I took out Yanmega who was assuredly a good pokemon and then put in Empoleon who could lay down rocks and still dish out the damage I wanted.

And then after some more playing, Hitmontop was replaced by Flygon for its ability to hit hard, scout, and absorb Twave

Thnx for your post Bedlam ^^

No wonder your Starmie can succesfully counter DDed Gyara O.o , you might change that Starmie into a TrickScarf to Outspeed Gyara and lols at it with Thunderbolt

Rock Polish Rhyperior hurts you pretty bad after a it sets-up, everyone is taken down by Megahorn/SEdfe/EQuake bar Flygon who takes 80%~ from Megahorn.

Switch to that Suicune set Bedlam gave you >>> Starmie or you could Scarf it.

Fire Blast >>> Flamethrower, you lose accuracy but the extra power helps ;]

    Just a few tips.

I scarfed Starmie to deal with gyara, mence, and rhyperior ^^

Im still testing Fire Blast so yea \o/

Thnx for your post ! (:

From our battle today, I think it's quite obvious that this team is weak to a multitude of powerful sweepers. Dragon Dance Tyranitar, Life Orb CM Raikou, and even Swords Dance Lucario can pretty much destroy this team once they're effectively set-up. Starmie only remedies the problem by Tricking a Choice Scarf onto the foes. Thus, I highly reccomend you remove Starmie for something to handle all of these threats...but wait, nothing does something of that sort! Well, you're right, which is why I suggest giving Flygon a Choice Scarf, and giving it a Jolly nature. This will let you revenge kill all of these threats and still provide momentum with U-turn and can more reliably stop Skarmory with Fire Blast. With that done, you can change Starmie to whatever you'd like. Something that can break walls alongside Lucario would be interesting, such as a Mixed Infernape, or even a dedicated Lucario counter that can still sweep. A Mix Mence could be useful, as with +1 Attack, Extremespeed won't be KOing Mence even with Stealth Rock. So, that aside, I suggest you shuffle the final slot up a bit to find the perfect puzzle piece.
