  • Oh boy, this looks like a fun way to infuriate people that want me to do things by spending even more time on Pokemon. The Ultimate challenge is all of them in a row starting at RBY, yes? And if I understand this correctly, at the start of each game the table is cleared and all types are available again, even previously eliminated ones? Well, sign me up, I'll update when I beat Misty probably with all of my incredible adventures in 8bitmusicalmigraineland.

  • Wow, I forgot about this until earlier this afternoon. Whoops.

Anyway, started today, got up the the beginning of the route to the Rock Tunnel.

Started off in Red. Starter was Bulbasaur (grass), ground it to level 12 before giving Oak his Parcel, then caught a Nidoran (m) (poison) and trained them both up to 13. By my figuring, these are the only things I'll actually need by the end of the game if I stockpile ethers and elixirs. Beat Brock with level 14 Nidoran and level 15 Bulbasaur, easy, no problems at all.

On the way to Mt Moon, both evolved. In Mt Moon, caught a Clefairy (Normal), ground Nidorino and Ivysaur up to 19 and 22, Clefable (whom I evolved with the moon stone, figuring Nidorino could afford to wait, even though the final moveset will be all TMs) to 17 before it ran out of PowerPoints. Rival Green nearly KO'd Nidorino, so I, you know, switched it out for Clefable and won. By the time I beat Misty they (Nido, Ivysaur and Clefable) were at levels 22, 24 and 21, respectively. Used TM for Bubblebeam on Nidorino, everything going as planned (making boltbeam + EQ).

Yada yada yada, went south to Vermillion, caught a Dugtrio at level 29 (ground) using Clefable's sing and Water Gun, took everybody to the SS Anne, Green gave me no problems, and went in to beat Surge. Used Thunderbolt TM on Nido, but tragedy struck- It seems I had not saved since before I beat Misty, and I accidentally taught T-Bolt over Bubblebeam. No HUGE tragedy- Surf is superior anyway, though it might be tough until I get the HM. Also had to teach Ivysaur cut, which is a drawback.

Current team, standing before the tree to the East of Cerulean:

    Ivysaur (grass), level 26
    Vine Whip
    Cut
    Leech Seed
    Poison Powder

    Dugtrio (ground), level 30
    Dig
    Body Slam
    Sand Attack
    Growl

    Clefable (Normal), level 27
    Mega Punch
    Sing
    Water Gun
    Pound

    Nidorino (Poison), level 28
    Thunderbolt
    Horn Attack
    Poison Sting
    Tackle

No deaths so far, though Nidorino was close once.

  • This is... A lot like the Nuzlocke challenge, give or take a couple rules. But the main one is still there - If a Pokemon faints, it's dead.

Huh. Maybe I'll have a go at it, as it's an interesting twist on what I'm used to.

It means you must have 6 almost equally levelled Pokemon, as soon as you can.

-Bought ten more but only Aipoms, Heracrosses, Burmies, and Wurpmles appeared.
    -Tried again with ten more.
    -Then ten more.

-Started to explore Eterna Forest with Cheryl.
-Caught Cute the Buneary but it goed to PC.
-Currently in about beginning of Eterna Forest.
    Here is my Team:

Nova the Monferno, Lvl 19 (Male)
Flame Wheel, Ember, Mach Punch,Fury Swipes
He is the main attacker of team and he pretty defeated any type. I think he can survive for Pokemon League. But he still needs better moves. 9/10

Spark the Luxio, Lvl 19 (Male)
    Spark,Bite,Tackle,Charge
He is so powerful and can counter many Water and Flying types with ease but still has low stats. But i trust he will be a Powerhouse when evolves into Luxray. 7/10

Ace the Staravia, Lvl 19 (Male)
    Wing Attack,Quick Attack,Endeavor,Double Team
I like this guy :) He can counter any Bug or Grass types and also takes no damage from Ground. He also got Endeavor and Quick Attack and has high defense so i can endeave foe easily. 9/10

Petal the Budew, Lvl 18 (Male)
    Mega Drain,Absorb,Stun Spore,Growth
For now he is powerless :( But he can lift anything up when he evolves. But still can't faint anything but Rock types. 4/10

Swamp the Shellos, Lvl 19 (Male)
    Mud Bomb,Water Pulse,Hidden Power Electric,Mud Slap
I didn't used a Shellos before so i wondered about using it. And now i see he is powerful. Will be even powerful when he evolves to Gastrodon. Can counter any electric and flying(thanks to HP Electric :D) types with ease. 9/10

Queen the Combee, Lvl 19 (Female)
    Bug Bite,Gust,Sweet Scent,Empty
Well, i really wanted to use this Pokemon after i battled Aaron's Vespiquen in Diamond. And is very powerful even as a Combee, will be most powerful member of my team when it evolves into Vespiquen. 10/10

    Boxed
Cute the Buneary , Lvl 11 (Male)
Spook the Drifloon , Lvl 15 (Male)

    Deceased
    -None-

    Types Left
    Fire,Grass,Water,Electric,Ground,Flying,Poison,Fighthing,Psyhic,Bug,Rock,Normal, Ghost,Ice,Dragon,Steel,Dark

    For now, goodbye :D
