The Everlasting Pokémon Journey

... the battle commences. Both sides are essentially newbies, but you won't let your guard down just because type disadvantages. You ordered your Petilil to use Absorb while the Vulpix used a Powder Snow. The Alolan Vulpix is faster, and the attack deals hefty damage to the Grass-Type Pokémon. However, Absorb dished out even more damage than expected while also recovering sustained wound. "The next attack will decide the winner!" He exclaimed, as the Alolan Vulpix unleashes another Powder Snow. Hanging at critical state, Petilil used Absorb once more with even better strength than before. It was a critical hit, the class didn't expect such thing to happen in which you won the battle. Richie congratulated you while Ellen can only grunt on such beginners' luck. Your Petilil came into your hands happily, you lifted her and he did the same to his Vulpix. Flannery then said,...
 
...'As you can see just because you have a type advantage does not make the battle a foregone conclusion.' She smiles. 'Well battled everyone but especially you Miss Silvia.' Ellen sneered. 'Homework is to research type match-ups, don't forget about the Fairy Type.'

You go to ask Ellen what her problem is but Richie tells you to leave it for now. Danielle and Steve seem to be laughing about something. Richie pats you on the back and commends your battling skills and says...

...every first year student shall receive a second Pokemon, an Eevee. He explains how Eevee has seven known evolutions. Pokeballs containing the little normal type are distributed to everyone. You notice your Eevee is female whilst the rest of your groups Eevee seem to be male. Playing with the little Pokemon you notice..
 
...that with other Pokemon, all you hear is them either repeating their names or making strange incomprehensible noises. However, when your Pokemon talk, you can actually understand what they're saying. You hold your Petilil and ask her "Do you understand what I'm saying right now?" The Petilil looked confused before replying with "Of course I can, silly! Why wouldn't I?" Your Eevee says "That man is stupid! I can evolve into eight different Pokemon, not seven!" You introduce yourself as Sylvia and then ask your Pokemon for their names. The Petilil says "My name is Lily. Pleased to meet you, Miss Sylvia." The Eevee says "Heya Sylvia, my name's...
 
...'Eva.' You pet the little Eevee who high fives you and hug Lily the Petilil. 'Miss Sylvia.' The bulb Pokemon says looking at Richie. 'I think that the tall boy likes you.' You pet the little grass type and think they might be right. You then feed both your Pokemon a Pokebean. Richie then says to you...
 
... that he needs to do his homework and send the finished assignment through the PDA, since books are now outdated nowadays and the personal devices are most likely located inside a trunk on every dormitory. "That homework is easy peasy! Ask me something that you're not sure of." Commented Ellen, in which Danielle instantly hitting her with a question, "Why did you harass my friend here?"

"Excuse me? I don't take personal questions like that. I only answer anything relevant with the studies. If you decide to not to, perhaps I should take my early leave." She said, doing her hair habit once more as she left the group. Steve was nowhere to be seen, perhaps preparing for another surprise Thundershock for their own fun. You head back to your room and...
 
...play with your Pokemon. Your Pokemon are very happy and it seems their affection level is high. You wonder why Ellen dislikes you so much and ask your Pokemon. They say they do not know.

You hear a small explosion from Danielle's room. You rush in to check on her and see she is laughing whilst on the phone to Steve. 'Oh hi Sylvia.' She says. 'Steve's just telling me about some pranks he has in mind. I tested one out.' She looks at you. 'Sorry to worry you, I thought you'd be hanging out with Richie.' You say you are still trying to get used to University life but make a mental note to call Richie later on.

You head back to your room and start doing your homework on type match-ups. You find the homework straightforward and you turn on your phone and just as you are about to call Richie he calls you and asks...
 
...you if you also received a strange text message from an anonymous person. You have not. He tells you to call him if you do. Immediately after you hang up, you receive a strange text. The sender is anonymous and the text says...
 
...'Are you a boy or a girl?'. You call Richie immediately and whilst he agrees that is a strange text message it is not what he received. Feeling a little scared you agree to meet him in the cafeteria and you both order a pasta meal. As you eat you ask Richie the content of the text message he received and he tells you...
 
... that the message is a little cryptic at certain degree, he's not sure what's the meaning from it. He showed you the message, "Dankest Lariat." You then asked if anybody gets the same strange messages and he facepalmed. Of course that wouldn't make sense if he hadn't asked anyone about it and they said they don't receive similar strange messages, but how can you receive the same thing albeit different subject just as he mentioned it? Was it another prank again? You...
 
...decide to call Danielle and ask if she received a strange anonymous text message. She said she did and it said 'Hydro Vortex' whilst Steve got a message saying 'Catashropika'. These do not strike you as malicious messages so you tell Richie it shouldn't be anything to worry about. As you head back to your dorm Richie says 'Can I ask you something else Sylvia?' You turn around waiting for the question and the tall boy awkwardly says 'It's nothing.'

The next day comes and you and Danielle head to your class and sit with Richie and his friends. At the front of the room is a tanned man in a lab coat and shorts. He is shirtless and not exactly dressed for the weather. 'Good Morning.' He says. 'My name is Professor Kukui and I am sorry to have perhaps caused alarm by texting you all...' He was cut off.
'The names of Z Moves Professor.' Ellen said.
'Very good Ellen.' Kukui said as Ellen tossed her hair with pride. You wonder why she did that so much.
'Yes.' Kukui says. 'Today I will teach you all about Z Crystals. It's kinda advanced stuff but...My Body is Ready.'
Nobody is sure whether to laugh or not as Kukui produces his Midday Lycanroc from a Pokeball.
'I think I may have text one of you something else, phones can be tricky sometimes.' He laughs.
As Kukui continues to speak you notice...

...it would be remiss of them to have a stand up row in front of students and that they can discuss things when the class has finished. The woman reluctantly agrees to this and takes her leave. Kukui composes himself and continues to give a very informative and interesting lesson. You take numerous notes.

As you leave Kukui asks to talk quickly to Richie who asks you to wait for him as Danielle and Steve go on ahead. As she passes you Ellen glares at you and says 'Don't you have somewhere to be nerd?' As Kukui and Richie are nearby you hold your tongue and a couple moment later Richie appears and says 'About what I wanted to ask before...Sylvia will you go to the Valentine's dance with me tomorrow?' You giggle nervously, you had no idea about the dance. You smile and say 'Yes. I'd love to.' to Richie's request as your Pokemon react favorably. Kukui passes you both smiling and muttering something about another happy couple.

As you and Richie head to the Cafeteria to meet your friends you notice...
 
... an unexpected ruckus. A boy with green spiky hair which is probably the result of getting struck by ThunderShock gets into a fight with Steve. Starting to use violence, the green haired boy easily dominates him as his Cubone subdues his Pikachu with the bone. Ellen doesn't seem to care about what's going on and only looked at her phone while the others are cheering for them. "What's going on here?" Said Richie. "I'll tell you. If this crook can't stop doing his unfunny prank then I'll have to teach him a very hard lesson." He responded, while Steve pleaded that he will never do that anymore. Releasing him and his Pikachu from the grip, he lets out a sigh and left. The teacher came into the scene and yelled loudly, "What's going on here?!" Just as he glanced at the place, everyone including you spontaneously returned back to their previous seats as if nothing happened. "What? Hmm...maybe I'm getting too old that I heard random intrusion out of nowhere. Continue doing your thing, kids." He left, and you...
 
...hear that Steve is explaining to Danielle that he only does his pranks to impress her. His Pikachu agrees. Danielle is angry with the Green Haired Boy and challenges him to a battle saying she will use an Electric type.

The boy agrees and sends out his Cubone. Danielle sends out a Jolteon which brings impressed gasps from the crowd. (Except Ellen who simply tosses her hair). The crowd cheer as Jolteon skilfully dodges Cubone's Bone Club then uses Double Kick causing major damage to the Ground Pokemon. You hear the green haired trainer curse about how Danielle has found a Heart Scale already. After another Double Kick the Cubone faints and the crowd cheers. (Even Ellen seemed a little impressed)

Steve approaches Danielle and she cuts him off saying 'Yes Steve I will go to the Valentines Dance with you.' She looks at you and Richie. You two are going too right.' You nod. To celebrate before your next class the four of you head to...
 
... the detention room due to having a battle at wrong place. The principal looked at the four of you intently while sipping his cup of coffee beside a Watchog while you all can't really say anything for breaking the rules. "Look, I know you are all eager with Pokémon Battles, this and that. Hear me out, what's the point of having a wide field just in front of this university?" He said, pointing into the open window, "Don't repeat that mistake again--cafeteria is a place to eat, not a battlefield. Use the field at your own discretion if the time calls right, but there are times where you shouldn't use it due to your class attendance. I hope you all understand, you may leave this room and return to your daily schedules." Exiting through the door, Danielle apologized for being carried away while Ellen was waiting just beside the principal room.

"Troublemakers will always be troublemakers--can't believe you all already gotten into trouble this early." She provoked.
"Ellen, what are your intentions this time?" Asked Richie.
"I have no intention to put any of you down, but once you've gotten a naughty amount of record maybe you will get the best ending on getting expelled. You all won't sign up in here for nothing, remember?" Tossing her hair once again, she left after giving them a warning. Steve blamed himself for being the cause of all this, but you cheered him to not regret doing so. Danielle then...
 
...ran after Ellen. 'Instead of being mean and scolding us for helping each other out how about telling us what is wrong.'
Ellen tossed her hair again and refused to answer.
You say to Ellen 'I know you are really smart even though you are mean to me. You can hang out with us sometime Ok?
Ellen seemed to almost smile and said 'I'm sorry but I'm busy...You and Richie make a cute couple.' before putting her hair into a ponytail and taking her leave.
'Did she just say something nice to you.' Richie asked.
'I guess.' You said.

...see a Mew wearing a Lab Coat handing out slices of freshly baked apple pie to everyone. For some reason, you seem to recognize it. It's as if the two of you met before. After handing you a slice, the Mew winked at you and then teleported. You whisper "Bye, Genesis!", before wondering how you even knew the Mew's name. Danielle asks you if you're okay, since you seem to be acting strange. You quickly lie and say that all the studying must be making you very tired. You then pretend to yawn. Surprisingly, everyone buys your fake story and doesn't question it. Trying to change the subject, you then begin discussing...
 
... about the Valentine's day. Some are seemingly interested, but it's clear that the teachers won't really give a day off or anything like it since it's just a small event only for personal reasons altogether so there's no ballroom dancing where you can be in a gown until the class is over. Why would anyone wear that in class? "But seriously, we've just met just recently and you already wanted to express it this straightforwardly?" Said Danielle, you blushed off while getting uncomfortable. "Giving chocolates are still alright, though. But it's not a mandatory thing. You see, love can be a-" You quickly closed her mouth before she can end her sentence for the sheer awkwardness. Of course, it's too soon. You told them that you will go to your room and so you did.

"Oooh...you naughty girl, having a tall boy like him was a bliss, innit?"
"S-shut up!"
"You're fun to tease, see you."
