The Extreme Speed Open Tournament - Rules and Results

Yeah so...I think we can go ahead and count Alex out. There's no way he's going to get his battle done.

Other than that, we'll have the match ups for round three out friday, perhaps we can get a couple more matches in? Yeah...we can =P

Well folks, we're called Extreme Speed for a reason, and while we wouldn't normally do this, here's the deal. We're going to advance eight of us all to round three where round robin matches (hopefully active ones) will occur. In order to accomplish a successful and fast third round stage, we're going to need EVERY COMPETITOR TO POST THE TIMES OF THE DAY AND WEEK THEY CAN SET ASIDE FOR BATTLING. If someone can only log on on weekends, the group members need to deviate from their norm to accommodate this persons schedule. So make some time on Saturday night (fifteen minutes folks? Easy.) to get the match finished.

I can battle any days besides Monday and Wednesday and usually anytime, so I'm good to accommodate for my group. So without further intro, considering you guys know how round robins work, here's the groups!

P.S. We will still have the round 2 matches deadline be Friday night. If you wish to complete your round 2 match so your team/team member does not get disqualified that is fine. We can reformat back to how we planned with 2 groups of 3, but for now this is how it's going down.

GOLD GROUP
(1) The Graceful Assassin
(2) Bendak
(World King's Lugia or Ryan24)
(12) Smarties-chan

RED GROUP
(3) Matt-O
(LL) Aurasphere
(World King's Lugia or Ryan24)
(6) Mystery2009

Alex and Znale are disqualified for not logging in, for now Prince is out too (but that might change if he shows up) and sims796 has been eliminated, promoting Aurasphere to a Lucky Loser slot (as well as the loser between myself/WK.) Unless the loser between myself and World King ends up losing with a larger margin than 5-0, these will stay the same. If Prince appears, I might promote sims up too and have 2 groups of five. NEVERTHELESS THERE WILL STILL BE ONLY TWO BATTLERS COMING OUT OF EACH GROUP FOR THE SEMI-FINALS.

I realize this is basically a rush of unorganizedness but we don't have much choice. Remember, make SURE you post your battle schedule. Everyone will have until FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4TH to finish all of their group matches, since if it gets to be 10 people that's 4 matches to finish.

you explain it so clear yet im still lost........
Round Robin is confusing.
I protested aginst my schedule to finish this too...(more like begged but who actually reads these notes of mine)

I'll explain it a little clearer ^_^ You are still versus Smarties for round 2. Unfortunately, though as you say you've broken your schedule to try to finish the match, Smarties is usually on mornings Eastern Standard Time. Right now it's late night/mega early morning as it is 1:22AM EST. I do not know what time zones you both are in but while he's usually on in the day, you were always usually on at night, at least my time. So in other words, you guys have time issues, so you both move on to the group stage.

Round robin works like this! Two groups of four. You are going to SCHEDULE a specific time of week and day to battle each member in your group, a total of three battles. This means you actually have to say to your group members "OK I am GMT -5, so I can battle between 3pm-10pm my time on Friday, Saturday, Sunday" or whatever your schedule may be.

Once every person has battled everyone in their group once (a total of six different matchups), the top 2 scorers (ideally anyone who went 3-0 or 2-1) will move on to the Semi-finals. Everyone else will drop to a losers bracket to decide who finishes 5th through 8th. Woot. Understand?

Yep K thanx. So I had better try to move us on shouldnt I aura ×_~

I believe Im GMT-5(central time) Im mainly on 10-6 pm-am on weekends(depending on activity of pc)

week days im generally on 1O-2 pm(im an insomniac meh...)

although I may randomly show up but I have to balence my life/senior life/friend life/and my sisters lifes so thats why im generally on late. If its inconvient ill adjust my life to better suit your placement(now that im not in trouble) k guys?

If you're Central time, you are GMT -6 ^_^ And thanks, Mystery. Now you can contact Aurasphere and Matt-O to schedule battles with them while World King and I duke it out.

Well, I'm on every night for at least 6 hours, so I shouldn't have a problem contacting mystery or Matt. This should be fun ^.^

I'll try to be on weekdays (except Friday) at 7PM central time. There might be times when I can't, but other than that I'll also be on most weekends in the morning.

hey i would like to test my team, so please contact me.

The tournament is taking place right now, hopefully it will be done in 2-3 weeks.

But ESO #2 will definitely take place in the future, we'd be happy to have you then!

EDIT: Oh yeah....posting a 2-0 win over mystery for the first battle of round 3, great match!

Congrats to everyone who made round 3! I'm pleased to say that everyone who has made it this far will get at least one prize from our prize showcase on the first page! You guys definitely deserve it =P
