Superbly Stupendous Second Update!

• Went through Solaceon and trekked through Routes 210 and 215, battling every trainer I found.
• Arrived at Veilstone City, and defeated Malene with much help from Ruby.
• Headed south down route 214 and 213, training everyone.
• Jasmine and Thalia evolved!
• Finally added Ruby (Scizor) to my team, the levels finally matched up.
• Arrived at Pastoria City, and crushed Crasher Wake with Willow and Jasmine!
• Defeated Tommy (My rival)

Willow has sure been a pain to train. Being the only pokemon that was not traded over from SS or Platinum, she gains exp much slower than the other members of the team, but she will definitely be better once she gets around to evolving! She was the MVP of the Pastoria Gym.

I love Jasmine, she is a great member of my team. I've always liked Lanturn, but I've never had one on my team. She's a great mix of water and electric, and a great addition to my team.

Mercury somehow always manages to get ahead in the levels, which is annoying, because that means I use him less, but it's good because he's so great! I love the Charmander family, (but not as much as squirtle :D)

Ruby is a new addition. I'm really not sure what to do with her moveset, so any suggestions would be great considering I've never had a scizor. Not much t say other than she was very helpful with Maylene.

OK SO:

-Started a new game and named my lil' guy Dusty.
-Grabbed Chikorita claiming my first Pokemon. Ground a little before battling rival, and battle him at level 9.
-After getting first five Pokeballs I caught a Pidgey. Landing my second spot. -Ground Pidgey until level 11, while Chikorita was raised to level 13.
-Challenged Sprout Tower and dominated it with Pidgey.
-Somewhat had a little trouble with Falkner. Knocked out Chikorita after almost being knocked out himself, but Pidgey brought in the rear.
-Chikorita evolved inside of Union Cave, while Pidgey was holding Everstone after hatching Togepi (spent over 30 minutes in Violet City just running around).
-Grabbed a Caterpie in Ilex Forest and trained it until it evolved into Butterfree, and ground it even more.
-Used Butterfree to blast Team Rocket off.
-Beat Bugsy with Pidgey on its own (plus a few Super Potions).
Saved, quit for tonight.

So, I beat the Elite Four with my team a few days ago and I was originally going to continue this challenge all the way to beat Red, but I want to try a few new challenges so I'm going to stop here, since the rules say I can. This was such an awesome challenge and I had a great time going through it. My team was pretty awesome too and this team actually was easier to use than my original team for HeartGold. Speaking of my team, here are their final stats and comments after beating the Elite Four:

Blaze was the first Pokemon on my team and he carried the team through the first few gyms. He was great and would knock out anything in his path. He wasn't as strong as I thought he'd be but when he finally evolved into Charizard, I knew he'd be one of the strongest members of my team.

Juliette Level 46 ♀
Nature : Careful
Ability : Natural Cure
Item : Miracle Seed
Magical Leaf | Giga Drain | Shadow Ball | Energy Ball

One of my favorites, by far. Juliette was a real powerhouse and saved my team more times then I can count, especially in the battle against Chuck. When she evolved into a Roserade, she got even better and was a real help against any tough opponent.

Basically the MVP of my team. She basically took down Lance singlehandedly and was a fighter throughout the entire game. Definitely my favorite and most used member of my team by far. She definitely deserves to be the MVP of the team.

Ancient Power | Uproar| Silver Wind | Psychic

Not my favorite, nor the most powerful. However, Apollo got it done when he needed to. He wasn't essential to my team but was a help in the final battle against Lance at times.

By far, my toughest Pokemon to train and battle with. He had a HORRIBLE moveset as a Shellder and it didn't help that once he learned Surf, he was facing all Water types on the way to Cianwood. Still, he was a great addition to my team and was a great help during the Elite Four. I guess all of that hard work paid off in the end because he was a great member of my team.

Night Slash | X-Scissor | Rock Slide | Earthquake

My 6th and final team-member, Terra. She was great during her short time with the team. Another huge help with the Elite Four as well and after finding the TM Earthquake, she became even stronger. She was a great addition to my team, despite not being on it for long.

Overall, this challenge was great and I had an awesome time with this. I would have continued it further but I want to try my hand at more challenges. Still, I completed the challenge by beating the Elite Four and since the rules say I can stop, I will. Right now, I'm transferring my team to my copy of HeartGold for a nice, long and well deserved retirement. Make sure you mark me down for completing this and good luck to the rest of the competitors in this challenge! =]

Christ, update time:
OK
-So, after Bugsy I headed straight for Whitney. Had some friends trade over Pokemanz wiff TMs. (trollin' time).
-Destroyed Whitney with Bayleef, and got rid of that irritating tree in that lil' path there.
-Got my Koffing and taught it a few moves, leveled it up, and challenge Morty. Twas Butterfree who ultimately defeated him.
-Surfed to Cianwood, battled and defeated Chuck with Pidgey, who is proving to be an EPIC fighter.
-Flew back to Olivine, completed Lighthouse quest.
-Challenged Jasmine with new Gyarados. Defeated pretty easily.
-Team Rocket blasted off at the speed of light after their destruction in Mahogany town, Prycce soon melted after.
-Defeated Team Rocket AGAIN in the Radio Tower. Idiots.
-Rushed to Blackthorn and defeated Claire and showed her that being nice gets you a rare Dratini with Extremespeed.
Saved, closed.

I finished my challenge! Here's my final team.

Mercury - Level 56

Absolutely the MVP throughout the entire challenge. He was always extremely strong and a great fighter. He is my favorite pokemon of my team :)

Ruby - Level 52
Aerial Ace - Steel Wing - X- Scissor - Night Slash

Ruby was 100% awesome. I discovered one of my new favorite pokemon, and i have a new great companion. She was the second most helpful.

Thalia - Level 46
Shadow Claw - Earth Power - Earthquake - Magnitude

Thalia was helpful at times, but i felt like i was just always trying to catch her up to the levels of the others. She generally just had too little hp, and was underleveled for the E4.

Jasmine - Level 50

Jasmine was pretty good throughout. I can;t really think of much to say, she was a good fighter and a trusty member of the team.

Zeus - Level 47

Oh Zeus... He was definitely the LVP of the team. I think his lackluster attack stat was what failed him, due to not being evolved, and he just wasn't that helpful once we really got going.

Willow - Level 47
Mega Drain - Toxic - Petal Dance - Grass Knot

Willow was pretty good. She was always behind in levels because of being the only pokemon that I caught in the game, and not traded from elsewhere, but she was pretty good throughout.

This was a great challenge and I had a lot of fun with it. My team will be traded over to Platinum for a nice long relaxing retirement.
