If I were writing the Pokemon anime, I'd make Mei the main protagonist rather than Ash.

Oh man she's really tough if you watch the B2/W2 Animated Trailer. And her voice is awesome cos she also voices Oshawott (Lisa Ortiz FTW!).

You know, I'm starting to think Ash is terrible. He doesn't even know his opponent's abilities and even worse, he doesn't know type advantages and disadvantages.
His Pikachu could take down a Regice and tie with a Latios yet lose to a beginning Trainer's Snivy? Terrible.

Nope, Jimmy isn't Gold. Jimmy, Ethan and Gold are all counterparts.
I believe that Ethan is either the new Gold, or just the same as Gold anyway.
Jimmy, he's not Gold. He's an Anime Counterpart of him, seen in The Legend Of Thunder, but Jimmy's definitely not Gold.
