I'm just tossing this in, but here are the Pokemon that I think should reconsider a light-type change (and why).
1.Pichu (Electric/Light)
2.Pikachu (Electric/Light)
3.Raichu (Electric/Light)
Ash's Pikachu just begs for a second type.
4.Slowking (Water/Light) ?
Not entirely sure...
5.Arcanine
Only if Ninetails becomes Fire/Ghost (Remember the Anime)
6.Mew (Psychic/Light)
Only if Mewtwo becomes Psychic/Dark
7.Meganium (Grass/Light)
Only if the other two starters get a second type from evolving as well.
8.Ampharos (Electric/Fighting)
I actually think that Ampharos should be fighting-type because of its posture, but some of you seem to stick with the name of the species.
9.Togepi (Light)
10.Togetic (Light/Flying)
11.Togekiss (Light/Flying)
The design on all three is my image for "light-type". The same design also applies to other light types such as Lati@s.
12.Azurill (Light) ?
13.Marill (Water/Light)
14.Azumarill (Water/Light)
The Marills are the Pikablus...
15.Bellossom (Grass/Light)
This poor thing lost a type evolving... Besides, it looks like a light and cheerful Pokemon and it evolves via Sun Stone.
16.Sunflora (Grass/Light)
Evolves via Sun Stone.
17.Beautifly (Bug/Light)
Possibly to mirror Dustox.
18.Plusle (Electric/Light)
19.Minun (Electric/Light)
They're a part of the Pikachu/Pikablu family (almost)!
20.Volbeat (Bug/Light)
21.Illumise (Bug/Light)
They produce a light.
22.Swablu (Light/Flying)
23.Altaria (Light/Flying)
They just look more like light types than dragon types to me.
24.Gorebyss (Water/Light)
Well, if Huntail becomes Water/Electric or something.
25.Luvdisc (Water/Light)
It's a love Pokemon...
26.Froslass (Ice/Light)
The design matches Togepi/Lati@s. Also, in hand, Glaelie's type should be changed to Dark (and males only).
27.Latios (Light/Dragon)
28.Latias (Light/Dragon)
In their Pokedex entry, it says that their down reflects the light. Also, look at their "light" design.
29.Pachirisu (Electric/Light) ?
It's a cousin to the "Pikachu/Pikablu" family... a distant cousin.
30.Cherrim (Grass/Light)
Blooms in sunlight.
31.Finneon (Water/Light)
32.Lumineon (Water/Light)
They glow/reflect light.
33.Uxie (Ghost)
34.Mesprit (Psychic)
35.Azelf (Dark)
Well, I'm not quite sure what types would coordinate to each one in the trio, I just don't like the fact that all of them are monotype psychic Mew-wannabes.
36.Phione (Water/Light, or No Longer Legendary) ?
37.Manaphy (Water/Light, or No Longer Legendary w/ 80 Average Stats)
Kind-of light-ish.
38.Cresselia (Psychic/Light)
Only if Darkrai becomes Dark/Ghost
39.Shaymin (Grass/Light in Land Forme)
Also, to whoever wants trio-typed, go dig a ditch. Two types are complicated enough! Besides, you wouldn't want a Rock/Ground/Water type with an x8 weakness against grass, would you?
