5th Gen The Generation Five Speculation Thread

From what i can translate by just looking at the official website, they are indeed black and white.
It will be released in the autumn of 2010 (in japan)
next time, on the 15th of April (wednesday) (new,fresh) (information, intelligence, report, news) (announce, make public)
(perfect,complete,whole), new made, this autumn put on market!
and it will be on Nintendo DS.
thats pretty much all that they have said.

wow. moon sun legendary. so awesome!!! and eclipse works perfectly. but wat would that be called?
hahaha I'll be ordering off play-asia. this could be the first pokemon game that I'll be getting when it comes out.
 
The following comes in mind:

Selene = Greek for moon
Helio = Greek for sun
Solar = Latin for sun
Lunar = Latin for moon

Eclypse = Random guess.

WE NEED FAST WATER, SLOW FIRE AND SWEEPER GRASS STARTERS!

I'll be waiting as usual. No reason to play a game in a different language, I want to get the full experience.
 
Im seeing a whole Yin Yang thing going on... based on the logos.
 
Yeah, Basically a theme based on Light and Darkness (or Good and Evil or Balance), Day and Night (or Sun and Moon) and I honestly can't think of another. I also see this being the perfect time to introduce the Light type, and if it does not happen now... I don't see it ever happening.
 
Hmm.. Pokemon Black and White eh? I think these names are very good actually - simple and white effective in getting the point of opposite Pokemon across. I can't wait to hear more.

hahaha yeh ur right. though i'm not sure wat it would mean. yin and yang is 2 things that cant live without each other. they are like a balance. so it also applies to the past legendaries too.
 
Haha, this is a random thought (my mind is roaming so much right now) but imagine the turn the anime will take... or what the title will be.

..I still think they'll rename the animé series. XD;
 
Man, I just hope they are different from all the new games (HG/SS, D/P/Pt).
I hope they have different look and everything!

Can't wait to see some gameplay footage!

I'm sure the graphics will be enhanced, they always are for the new games. What I want them to continue is the intuitive way they use the touchscreen in Heart Gold and Soul Silver - it really does come in handy for stylus lovers like me.
 
BTW I'm really happy it's not on that new 3DS system cuz I don't want to loose my money on that new thingy too ... the DS is really good for now. Maybe the next gen can go on 3DS ... we'll see ;]

Even I sometimes use my finger when my Stylus is nowhere to be found (which happens a lot now)

But, yeah, I really want the touch screen to be utilized as much as it was with Heart Gold and Soul Silver.
