5th Gen The Generation Five Speculation Thread

If there are contests in gen 5, I'd like it to be a little more similar to the anime. I would like to try to combine attacks to see how they would look best instead of using one move for an appeal. Also, maybe a contest battle would suffice.

I'd also like a DOLPHIN pokemon. (Gorybyss doesn't count.)

Gorybyss isn't even based on a Dolphin...
Well there's lots of speculation all of a sudden that it's beginning to get overwhelming.

well, that'd be two new combos, instead of 3 existing ones. Bit like what they did in Sinnoh!

Breloom and Sharpedo...
But yes I really want a fire/psychic starter, could be a Pyrokinetic Pokemon. (start fires with your mind).

And im TIRED of discussing starters...
Lets just discuss normal pokemon.
Im hoping for a fire/bug fire ant based pokemon, even if it has a 4x rock weakness...
and a fire/grass tiki based pokemon. We need more fire types, don't we?

thats how it was in Gen3 you could create move combos, gen4 contests HIGHLY disappointed me, i was like yay you can dress up your pokemon, yay you can get extra appeal threw dancin..... WTF!? i gotta go on WI FI to make Poffins!?
no move combos!? but i just used fire punch& blaze kick, that got me massive hits on gen3!


Gorybyss is NOT a dolphin, FAR FROM IT, its an eel, both clamperls evolutions are based on eels ^_^

a fire water? advantage: it would be able to put itself out :D

well I'd like to see an electric/dark because I was let down with Luxray not being part dark too. A fire/steel is another thing I want to see. Like I mentioned in another post water/steel legendary (or normal pokemon)....
others:
bug/dragon (maybe some new moves to go along with it)
fire/rock or fire/ground
ice/electric (don't we have this?)
and maybe a fighting/flying..can't think of anything else at the moment.

we should get another Owl for the normal/flying type :3
i really loved hoothoot
and it would be awesome to have the new region carry on hoothoot-ish owls ^_^

it would be awesome if they made more wild trade evolutions (like they made steelix)
Golem is one of my favs, same for Gengar, those 2 should be in the wild ^_^
 
I think there should be more branched eveos
 
My thoughts on what we need for Gen V:
More usable and widely available Fire types
More Electric types.
More steel, dark, and dragons that AREN'T Psuedo legendaries.
Better bugs.
More and better Ice types.
And Ice-Bug.
NO fighting starters, and definitely no Fire-Fighting starters.
Not nearly as many legendaries.
More of the rarer or weaker types that don't get enough attention.
A gym that receives neutral damage from all three types (as in no Rock gym)

And that's all I got right now.
 
I have a feeling that they're going to reveal the 2 cover legendaries X)

almost all of those we already have:
fire/rock = macargo
fire/ground = camerupt
water/steel = empoleon
fire/steel = heatran

i agree on luxray -_-"

fightin/flyin would be awesome
fire/water FINALLY sumone else sees my brilliance XD

I think Gen 5 should just ditch the pokemon contest all together..maybe just make them a wifi only game (it be more fun, and possibly offer more costumes, etc.) They should make a new game or contest. The pokeathlon should be brought back in full-force with there being like 4-5 different contest in different parts of the regions leading up to a grand pokeathlon contest.

For ice/electric, youre probably thinking about rotom frost form. my favorite form.
bug/dragon. YANMEGA! Come on, that thing is obviouly a bug/dragon! What were GF thinking, giving it a flying type? we are choked over with bug/flyings!

I would like
steel/flying
ghost/fire
and a lot more variety in your basic pokemon.
we have normals everywhere...

lol you and me both. Hoenn had the best variety of starters. Sinnoh kinda took on that trait too.

Perhaps the Psychic/Grass, Fighting/Water, and Dark/Fire starters will come into existance.

Infernape was just a copy of Blaziken, but Im not complaining much. I want them to mix it up a bit. Let see, how about this:

grass/dark, fire/poision, water/ice

now that would be more of a challenge for everyone, espically for us grass-type users. Then again I love a challengen :]
 
Infernape was a complete clone of blazekin i mean what were they thinking

the new steel/flying pokemon could be a Skarmory evo!since it's already Steel/flying
a fire specter would make a good fire type then it evolve's into something more like duskrops..
we need more fire,electric,psychic (non legendary),ect.
