The Gift Challenge

[Bellum]

Back to my Yellow "Gift Nuzlocke", all three of the Kanto starters (besides Pikachu, he's in very good shape) and Magikarp are dead.

This only leaves me with the possible choices of:
Pika (in party)
Eeveelution (in party)
Lapras
All 6 Game Corner Pokemon
Kabuto/tops

oh dang, bad luck dude.
At least you have all those pokemon though :)

I finished my Yellow Gift Nuzlocke!

Spoiler:

-Now armed with Pikachu and Gyarados, I wanted to add a member of my team: my Eeveelution, Vaporeon. So, I bought a Water Stone and evolved it into Vaporeon!

-Taught Vaporeon Ice Beam through the girl on the top floor of Celadon Department Store
-Did Rocket Game Corner, then went to Lavender and did Pokemon Tower Event (Poke Flute was extremely useful in this run)
-Went to Silph Co early to get my Lapras. This leveled my Pokemon to take down Erika.

ERIKA (Badge #4)
-Vaporeon's Ice Beam finished her off. I also trained Lapras at this time.

-Wanted to get Surf early, so I went straight down to Fuchsia to teach Surf and Strength to Lapras and Vaporeon.
-While fighting the Bikers in Cycling Road, Gyarados died. I might add: Well worth the $500 I spent on it.
-To access Cinnabar early, I fought Koga.

KOGA (Badge #5)
-Pikachu saves the day! Thunderbolt finished them all off.

-Went to Cinnabar, grinded a ton in Pokemon Mansion, then decided it was time to fight Blaine.

BLAINE (Badge #6)
Improper order, but this is how I do it. Vaporeon and Lapras beat him very quickly.

Now back to Sabrina.

SABRINA (Badge #7)
I used Vaporeon and Pikachu. They both outsped and took care of Sabrina's Alakazam and Co.

-A lightbulb flashed in my head! Lapras can learn Horn Drill! I went and bought 20 X Accuracy and Speed to finish the game off.

GIOVANNI (Badge #8)
Lapras POUNDED Gio. Two X Speeds, one X Accuracy, and this was finished. The only drawback in this plan is Lapras' pitifully low Speed. Any Pokemon like Jolteon (which my Rival has!) outspeeds and kills it.

My last point became important in this next Rival fight. Knowing his Sandslash won't do much, I gave Lapras three X Speeds and an Accuracy to ensure that it outspeeds Jolteon for Horn Drill to hit.

Note: Horn Drill requires your Pokemon to outspeed the other Pokemon ON TOP OF 30% Accuracy in order to hit. X Accuracy makes moves including Horn Drill hit 100% of the time. Even if you get hit with Sand Attack, Horn Drill always hits if you have X Accuracy on. I don't really need to explain what X Speed does.

-Victory Road, bla bla bla. I packed a ton of Ethers and found PP Ups to make sure I can Horn Drill.

LORELEI
Besides Jynx, nothing on her team outspeed my Lapras (Lv.51 at this point). So only one X Speed and an Acc.

BRUNO
Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

AGATHA
This one required some preparation. As I couldn't blow her away with one-hit moves, I needed help from the supporting cast of Pika and Vaporeon. Vaporeon's great Special covered Agatha's Ghosts while knocking them out with Surf.

BUT IT WASN'T THAT EASY! My trusty Pikachu died to some Gen 1 hax by Gengar. Critical Hit from Dream Eater after Pika got hit with Hypnosis. RIP(ikachu)!

LANCE
Time to avenge Pikachu's death!!! I didn't need to Horn Drill because Ice Beam killed them just as fast. No deaths here!

CHAMPION RIVAL
This battle was wild. His Sandslash outsped my Lapras, so I put on an X Speed. Stupidly, I only gave Lapras one, so that Jolteon would outspeed me when it comes out. Lapras Horn Drilled everything else without much trouble.

Out comes Jolteon. And the Thunder Wave. And then the CRITICAL HIT THUNDER! Lapras, you are the weakest link.

It was midnight last night when I was finishing this, and I thought I was done when Lapras went down. Just one Thunder could finish me for good, just one Pokemon away from being Champion.

Then luck ensued. Rather than finishing me off with Thunder, Jolteon went with Thunder Wave, paralyzing my Vaporeon. Vaporeon countered with Surf, but my only chance was to three-hit kill Jolteon. Next move: Thunder. Oh gosh, if Jolteon's Thunder was a Critical, I was finished. For reference, it was a 25.4% chance for Joteon to crit, but a 70% chance for Thunder to hit.

No critical. Vaporeon used Surf. I WIN!!

- Got Liam the Cyndaquil!
- Did all of the plot stuffs, and Liam evolved just before fighting the Sage mini-boss.
- Wrecked Violet City's Gym, beat Faulkner.
- Obtained my Mystery Egg.
- Walked around Violet City for a long time, out hatched Sean the Togepi.
- On my way to steal yo' girl grind Sean.
