    Title.

I absolutely LOVED these games, I'm actually playing them again. :3 Except the third one, it's only at my brother in law's house :>

So, how about all of you? Like it or hate it?

I've played them for a little bit (not extensively and I don't actually own them, so my judgment might be wrong), but from what I've played/seen of them they seem like really shallow button mashing action games that rely on gore and shock value alone. So they're really not my type of games. But like I said, I haven't really played them, so that's the option I'll vote.

Never played the series, but I've always heard they're great and I really like the mythology behind the series. I just never got into them on the PS2 and don't own a PS3, so I can't play them, even if I wanted to, haha.

Feh. I have not played though a truly appreciable amount of the game to give a 100% certain opinion, but the maniacal joy of the over-the-top blood fades quickly.

I'm going to get flamed for this but the series did not end on a high note for me.

Yes, when it was first conceived it was quite revolutionary, and made action gaming fun again.

And the lastest version is quite beautiful. Actually, most beautiful game on any system to date.

But the gameplay still is hampered by some problems that never got addressed. Why for example does a god die when he doesn't make the jump across a pit? Especially since this god can jump from the highest point on earth down the bowels of the underworld and live? And he's got wings?

And why are we still stuck doing puzzles that involve pulling levers? And why is a god still unable to break some jars and vases? I realize this feels petty, but the problem is that these things feel like a carry over in early game design that designers still seem to difficulty letting go of.

Anyways, not bashing the game, enjoyed it very much. Just don't think it deserves the title of "revolutionary".

I liked the first two, but the third was a bit of a letdown for me. It seemed short and had no real backstory behind it, plus the amount of plotholes was insane.

loved every bit of the first 2 games, no PS3 so i can't have my say with the third. but for the first two its been AMAZING. your overall BA ripping fiends in 2 in more ways than you figure out how to tie a knot. not to mention god/titan mode for some FFFFFFF'D UP difficulty makes me play it over and over.

I just kinda wish they let you be the God of War for a little longer. :x I enjoyed when people feared me.

Most satisfying franchise I have experienced that glorified gratuitou violence.

Have only played the two for PS2 sadly. Have not played the PSP title, the third for PS3 or experienced Kratos on the Soul Calibur PSP game.

~God of War: Chains of Olympus (PSP)
    ~God of War (PS2 and PS3 trilogy)
    ~God of War 2 (PS2 and PS3 trilogy)
    ~God of War 3 (PS3)
~Kratos as cameo in Soul Calibur PSP

    Five games of Kratos.
