CheesePeow; I have no idea what I'm looking at in that picture.. XD; It's a tad bit bright and like what Shiranui said, try making it black and white. It's a good grunge banner, but the text is hard to read..

Animadversion; I prefer the first 2, but #1 seems to suit the colour more.

evilcheese; wow that is so cool. But I don't like how in the middle bit of the eye, it's like a random bright splatter. But I love the colour of the eye. :3

Shiranui; That's so cool. :D I like the lightening effects and the render suits the banner really well. You must tell me your secrets one day. D;

Akari: Eheh, thanks. Here's my secret: displacement filters >.> I can't live without them.

And for some reason, I'm usually unable to work with renders nowadays. Maybe that's because I get too lazy to make a background xD

Anyway, that's an awesome vector banner. I like the colours a lot. The brushing looks pretty awesome. Although it's a vector banner, like a couple of your other ones, it looks different somehow. I guess it's because of the brushes you used. I like it how you can fill a canvas so easily with vector brushing, and it doesn't look too crowded. Okay, maybe it's a bit crowded at the bottom left corner, but otherwise, it looks great xD The text is a bit hard to read, but that's some great text placement. The 04 behind his shoulder is a nice touch as well. Overall, I like it~

Anyway, heres an attempt at a grungy-vector banner. If I could get Loki to rate this as I know you're a vector expert and hopefully you can help me improve.
BTW: I'm hoping to get into vector banners so anyone with experience please rate!

reply to shirauni - the eye was the stock but i had to add the sharingan it was actually pretty easy. ill tone done the 19px smudges and yes those were c4ds on the sides.

Shiranui;;<3 OMIGAWD IT IS UBER, this tag has a nice sense of depth, and those lighting brushes look awesome, it all fits really well together your brushes, displacement filters, clone stamps etc. This is one of my most favourite tags from you ^^ 10/10



Birthday Girl/Akari;;Ulquiorra =D, This is a really nice banner, vector brushes text, colour scheme all fit really well together, although the render is a little pixeally and i think you should work on a more wider range of borders, but the solid black border looks alright on this one ^^ 10/10



Perfectionist;; Looks Great! text needs a little work though, maybe tone down the opacity a bit, and try a different text like Cloister black or Wolf's rain IMO. The colour scheme is alright, but not that appealing, maybe some more de-saturated. The border like i said to Akari looks fine, but try using a wider range. Other than that, it looks fine 8/10

@Shiranui: It feels... empty to me, especially on the right where there's not much of anything there. Other than that though, it looks good.

Thanks for the comments, everyone :3 I tried to fill up the emptiness, first with more spatter clipping masks, then with text, but it looked weird. And the empty space gives the feeling of darkness looming in, or something xD [/makingexcuses]

Shiranui: Hmm, I'm personally not to fond of this one. xDD; probably because I don't like the render, but that pointless bias of mine aside... It's true that it's a bit empty on the right, maybe you could add another lightning bolt? But that might throw the balance off. Or maybe you could add a red effect c4d. That would match his eyes. :O The depth is great, definitely pulled off well, but I wish the lightning bolts were a little more focused. xD It would make them seem more... eletric-y? xD;;



Akari: OMFG I LOVE THIS ULQUIORRA BANNER. Okay well anyway, first things first: There's one big tricky part to vector banners. Focus. xD; Because vector banners usually have colors directly derived from the render, sometimes it's hard to immediately distinguish what's render and what's background. That's a problem in this particular banner. xD The vector is great, I like this feel much better than your previous vector banners. The brushes you used in that other banner seemed pasted on, compared to the fluid smoothness of this banner. Ulquiorra seems a little oversharpened, but the text is awesome, and the 04 is a great touch.

I love dot brushes. :O You should totally tell me where you got that set. *SHOT'd* The mix of squares and circles is done well too, normally they clash, but it's subtle enough here that I didn't even notice until I really stared at it.

All in all, there a few things that could be improved, but by far, this is one of my favorite banners from you so far. ;D Keep goin' for that new style, you're doing awesome.

It's pretty clear you haven't read the rules yet, so I'd suggest doing so. I, unfortunately, am not going to rate your banners until you rate another members. Sorry, that's just how this thread works.

.:The_Decay:.; You banners are really big, so they probably won't be allowed on PC. The Avatar one has nice colours, but the render lacks blending.. ^^; And the other one is really nice, kinda scary though.. XD; But alot of it looks kinda blurry.

Perfectionist: Well, it looks a bit strange to me. Your colours are a bit too mixed, and the red splat is more of a grungish/spatter brush, so if your going for the vector look, you might want to change that.
(as a reference to other people, the difference between abstract and vector is that abstract has a 3d look, while vector is more 2d. Atleast I think so... >.>) Your use of brushes is alright, but theres not much going on.
The Decay: Your banners are way to plain. And as Akari said, way too big. I recommend looking at some tutorials.

I've made another crappy banner. :l I don't think i'm getting any better xD.

Its basically manipulation, but I think I could of done without the brightish look.

Unless I'm being stupid again, then that means .:The_Decay:. must choose a random banner to rate. But like I said, I could just be being dumb, and mis-understood it.

But I've seen several people do it before. If there isn't a banner above them, they don't rate.

@CheesePeow, it's a bit too bright that it's hard to see the details in the background.
Also, the render could use some blending.
And maybe change the text color?

ANOTHER OPINION QUESTION! 8D Where does the text look better, first or second version? :< Any other info on this banner is highly appreciated~ :D It's incomplete, in terms of borders and stuff, so yeah... xD But feel free to point out anything! |D

Loki: I always love it when someone does a green banner, as you don't see many of those around. The effects you added look great but still don't distract me from the render, which is a good thing I think. As for the text, I like it with the second one because in the first one, I'm too focused on the render's face to actually notice the next, which is right next to it. I hope you understood what I meant by that. XD

Having made anything worthwhile in a couple of days and even this this next one probably isn't that great, I really like the render so I'm posting!
