Eh well I don't know if you said it cause I'm kinda new here but I have seen various photo's posted in here.

First of all, the dodge around the head of the render really doesn't work with me. I like the yellow glow near the bottom of the image, but the render itself probably could have been a better quality image or at least been tweaked so the artifacts don't show as much. I like the contrast in the lower left of the image.

Nice photo!
The right side of the picture is very dark, I am assuming this is because of the sun and it seems to be setting. If so, this photo possibly could have looked nicer if you captured the sun which would look great next to the sea. The photo is good except for the lighting which could be fixed. You could try playing around with filters on Photoshop or another Image Editing program to fix the light.

Kuggles; the text annoys me a lot for some reason. D: I don't like the style of the font.. And.. It's really monotoned. XD;; You might want to try and add some other colours in there..

Pretty good, nice lighting and depth. Colors could be smoother IMO and maybe better text.

Made it for someone, but it wasn't really a request. I focused mainly on lighting and depth, which are things I needed to re-work on.
BTW, "I never cared about justice" is a quote from Megaman Zero 4.​

Conman: I love the lighting on the red elements of the render, but the text leaves a lot to be desired. The contrast of the red and white-blue on the render is good, but conflicts horribly on the text. You could probably work a little harder around that.

SwampartTrainer: I want to know what program you are using.... It doesn't look like Photoshop to me. For both of the banners, I think you can improve. With using brushes and textures. And maybe some selective coloring. Well, I really don't know because I suck at that style =/ Ah ok, so you use Photoshop. Alright, well, I really think you should kind of play around with the image more. Like, the image looks like it's just pasted there, like play around with, do some overlay and whatnot. And add some selective coloring as well. And maybe fill a color and set it to soft light or something. But like I said, I suck at that style.

I love the background effects on the left, but the right could probably use some work. I believe the text is trying to Luxio (even though the pokemon displayed is a Luxray), but it took a while to figure that out, since the L is half-hidden.

i aint no pro so i can't criticise but i like the banner above very bright and colourful.

Alright everyone can it for a second.

El Capitano, SwampertTrainer did nothing wrong as far as rating goes. He was not in the wrong for not rating Hazuki's work; you were. As you can see in his post underneath Hazuki's he did not post anything to be rated, therefore, his post is classified as a reply post.

8. You are allowed to respond to comments directed to your banners without rating things in return. This will not be counted as spam, we will simply skip over your post if you choose to do so.

I'm thinking that you're mistaking SwampertTrainer for swampert_man08, as I can't find any recent example of when SwampertTrainer failed to rate the banner above him. And I don't see how his comment was rude to Hazuki, he's just asking for someone else to comment on his work, and we all have the free right to choose either to put in our own two cents, or just ignore it completely until he posts them again or whatever. In other words, he is allowed to do that, but the chances that anyone will freely comply are very low.


But SwampertTrainer, you are also in the wrong regarding whether Hazuki posted work or not. If you look at her post, there are two icons and one banner posted to be rated. If you still cannot see them, I have quoted them for you here.

Not that it's particularly important that you were wrong about that since you weren't required to rate them, but whatever.


So in conclusion El Capitano, it was your turn to rate Hazuki's graphics, as reply posts are supposed to be ignored, and you are the one who failed to rate the graphics she posted.


Now, I'm getting very very sick of people deciding that they know it all, so from now on, unless your ego commands it, (And it would also be commanding an infraction) do not post in this thread directly addressing a problem, PM me, so that I can deal with it. Please keep all other posts in this thread for rating, and rating only.

Oh and by the way, photographs are not allowed in this thread, unless they have been edited in some form or way. This is not the 'Graphics & Photography Rating thread'.

If you've any problems with my decision or explanation, please PM me, as the subject in this thread is now CLOSED.

Now, Hazuki, since you didn't get a rate:

Fai banner:

Well I think the thing with this one is the size of your render. The effects are cool, but I think you should've made Fai himself bigger; enough so that it's from the very top of his knees to maybe halfway up his hair. I love the clouds and the orbs or light though- the wing in the back is very nice, and though the text needs a little bit of warping, it doesn't look too bad. Your colors are good, and I adore those circles around Fai.

But the borders... :| I really don't like that. I think a black two and one pixel border on the inside of the banner with lowered opacity would be best, or something to that extent.

And maybe lighten up on the curves, since Fai's back is looking too dark.

(The kitty animation is adorable by the way. Very smooth frames. Kudos.)

I'm assuming this is Loki's entry, so here goes:
As usual, I have no idea what the render if from, but the lighting on it is superb. The illusionary quality of the whole image is quite appealing, although I think there could be more lighting around the far edges. The black boarder on each side is okay, it would probably do better with a letterbox appearance.

@Y?551NE - Your name annoys me :/ The render is the focal right? Because the focal sohuldn't be that blurry :/ Lighting is awesome but placement is a no no. There is not that much blending either. And filmstrip borders shouldn't be that skinny. Not really my favorite banner from you.

Rating: The text on the BlackSpiderman's arm is exellent, Nice lighting and the back C4d is awsome, only thing is the c4d in the front of the render doesn't merge with the banner and sticks out but I love the text and lighting.
