How many of you bought the guide book for the games, Why do you think, Kanto was left out of it?

yeah I bought the book, hoping Kanto and stuff would be in it, but I was quite disappointed. It has helped me lots though, it is quite handy with the SS story. But I plan on getting HG, so I will keep the book for that as well :D

Because they want more money :|

They did that with the Japanese guide books as well... it sort of sucks too because there's information in the Johto guide that isn't in the Kanto ones and information in the Kanto ones that isn't in the Johto ones... even though they share 90% of the same content... they're still a little different which sucks... it would be nice if it was just one book, but... yeah...

I was disappointed in it, I mean it didn't even have a full pokedex
    D<

I wonder if I can take it back for a refund... I hope so :P

I've heard many bad things about it, so I will most likely not even get it. I usually don't buy guides anyway. If there's something I really can't figure out, I'll look it up online.

And its not just that its missing information, its the fact that is has alot of WRONG information -_-, you would think that for making a guide of your own game, you would at least get the facts right.

i read this just after i ordered it -_-

    i will be getting both

I feel like I cheat when I read strategy guides, but I didn't have to read one for this game. Especially if it's incomplete.

The other thing I don't like is that it tells you item locations, but it doesn't tell you what the items actually are. Sometimes there would be a item that was really hard to get to, and I'd have no idea if it would be worth it or not

But in the end, I loved the guidebook. I prefer it to online walkthroughs and videos because I don't like having to look at yet another screen while playing a game :P

Yup, I got it! I've never gotten a guide book for any of my Pokémon games before, but in the little corner of this one, there was a little "Volume 1," so... Maybe Kanto's in a possible "Volume 2." Yeah, I just caught Lugia in SoulSilver yesterday, so the book's still gonna help me a little with the Indigo Plataeu. And my 11 year old cousin told me that she got me HeartGold for my birthday.

    Luv ya! ♥ Umbreon

SS was the first game in a while I didn't get a guidebook for, I bought one for every game since Emerald.
    I still got along fine.

    It didn't include Kanto?

Well I don't plan on buying it anyway, I could just look up what I need to on the internet.

I wouldn't need the guide, I played GSC so much that I petty much have memorized everything. But if I need some help I could just use google, IMO there is no legitimate reason to buy that book.

yeah, so is there gonna be a vol. 2? i mean there wasnt a full pokedex or kanto coverage, and it didnt say much about the magnet train or the boat in olivine. i hope there is...

I'm probably not gonna get this guide. Compared to the phone book that was the Platinum guide... I dunno, I wan hoping Kanto would be in there as well. =|
