If anything, ROM hackers seem to insult us Game Developers by calling our games hacks. Us Game Devs haven't said anything insulting about ROM Hackers.

I really don't understand all the hate going on between the two, if anything, game developers are being way to harsh to hackers, all most of us do is yell at them like,

"OMG WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, ITS A GAME
I just set us up dah bomb!"

Withought even thinking to explain to the person, thoroughly about the difference between the two.
And if you've tried rom hacking, you would see that it can be just as challenging, if not more challenging then game development with the starter kit.
