The Kagaku Tale I: Alchemy

Ever since you were a child, you've been fascinated by the thousands of elements there are, from Glass and Rock, to Metal and Wood. It's amazing. As you've matured, you've learnt the magic of alchemy, and now you can safely say that you are a brilliant alchemist – probably the best in Kaishi City.

Four weeks ago, a terrible earthquake struck Kagaku. Many houses and villages were destroyed. Fortunately, the plasma shield of Shiirudo City protected the population, leaving only the landscape in turmoil. Now, the rebuild of Kagaku has begun. Many people across Kaishi City require materials to build new houses, factories and furniture.

You, as the best blacksmith and carpenter in the land, are going to have to start helping people with your skills of alchemy. You may humbly start off in Kaishi City, but, as word spreads across the country, you will have to go around the world, providing the world with resources. With the assistance of Kibou, your elemental fox, can you help rebuild Kagaku? Find out, in The Kagaku Tale I: Alchemy!

The stats in Alchemy are as follows:
Player:
Health - Can be replenished if you rest.
Hunger - Can be replenished if you eat.
Alchemy Level - The higher your alchemy level, the lower the probability that your formations will fail.

Pets:
Health - Same as above.
Hunger - Same as above.
Power - Kibou is Ice and Fire, for example.
Happiness - Pets won't be too obedient if you treat them badly. Give them love!

Citizens:
Trust - How much they trust the player. Get 100%, and you could be in for a special item.
Needs - Sometimes, if you've accepted to give someone something, but then forget three seconds later, check their needs profile - it's listed there!
Status - Rich, Average, Poor or Homeless. This is to restrict who you can sell items too - so that you don't go selling diamonds to those who cannot afford them, or selling rags to that man living in a mansion with fifteen horses.

Hey! Spherical Ice! You're back [and by that I just mean that I haven't seen you in awhile :D]

Anyway, I read through your post, and I think it's great that you're scrapping ROM hacking and going into RPG Maker! (like me!) And I also think that you're game idea is awesome. Anyway, I can't really give that much crit/help on this game, as I'm not really sure what you're going for, as I kinda deal in Pokemon Games (ones that take place in Emort *shot*)

But I'd definately play this when you're done.

And if you need any help [in something you think I could handle X3, don't hesitate to ask]

...and that's all I have to say on that subject XD

Good ta see you back!

So it's just going to be a game made of fetch quests, then? Given there's no actual fighting, all that's left are fetch quests and visual novels.

But don't take this the wrong way. I like the premise. I like all the combining stuff and manufacturing lots of different things. I also like how "Paper = Wood + Mallet" :P

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens here.
