    ----------------------- PLOT -----------------------​


    You are a new trainer in the Kanto region. Finally you have been trusted with the ability to have a Pokémon as your very own, or as a partner as some would say. Through all of the many stories that you have heard floating around of Pokémon trainers, you know that trainers either train their Pokémon to be as strong as they can or to breed them into a new species of the many 493 Pokémon already in the word. Some even use them to study or keep them as pets. ​



    About twenty years ago, the region had been set up very differently. There were a total of eight gyms stretched across the region, but now there aren't. The gyms have been replaced by annual tournaments. During these tournaments, about twenty or more trainers enter the tournament. However, only one will become champion. Once that person has been crowned champion, they will have to go up against the town's strongest trainer. The strongest trainer is a descendant of the original gym leader from around twenty years ago. This may seem easy, but it is far from it. ​





    There will be many things that will thwart your journey, but one will hinder you the most; Yagamoto. Yagamoto are a group of cocky people who follow their self-absorbed leader (whom is actually a champion of eight tournaments himself) as if they have no minds of their own. In that group, they collect every Pokémon they are able to find, mostly wild Pokémon though, and enter tournaments with only one goal. They want to take down the town champion and take his or her place, almost taking over the whole town if you think about it. They care nothing for their Pokémon, making them one of the cruelest groups out there—even worse than Team Rocket. ​





    Yagamoto really have one main goal out of the whole tournament, however. At the end of the other tournaments, once every year a special tournament is held in the Indigo Plateau. Legend has it that a rare Pokémon will show its face there for a brief moment of time, blessing the battlers. Yagamoto's leader has seen this legend, and wants it for himself. He plans on having his minions enter the tournament so he can easily get to the Indigo Plateau and capture the Pokémon. Once captured, he plans to use that energy to make a race of the strongest Pokémon alive, and use those Pokémon to do their own evil bidding. It is up to you—the trainers—to stop them. ​





    The numerous experiments Yagamoto have done have also resulted in Pokémon becoming oddly discolored. Those Pokémon are "special" to Yagamoto. They have been bred by the scientists at Yagamoto themselves. These Pokémon are genetically enhanced to have almost superb attacking power. They are basically the ultimate Pokémon, being very strong. This was also Yagamoto's downfall, however. These Pokémon finally became so strong that they broke away from Yagamoto, running off into the wild. Yagamoto will do almost anything to get these Pokémon back, which could be a potential hazard if a trainer ever came across one.​






    ----------------------- STORY GUIDELINES/BORDERLINES -----------------------​




    1. You can choose from two Experiences in your sign-ups (you will have the option).​

    You could play a Rookie trainer where you get a Pokemon from a nearby professor – a descendant of Professor Oak.​

    If you choose to play a Better trainer, you will already have your Pokemon when you start your roleplay, though you won't be an extremely powered trainer.​

    2. I will also be playing a character whom all of you will be playing alongside of. Her name is Jess and she starts off with her partner Charmander.​

    3. I want you to be creative with your posts. Try to mix it up a bit with details, grammar, vocabulary, etc. You will struggle and fight with your friends – I want to see how far you will go to risk your life for your friends in this RP.​

    4. When you capture Pokemon, I want to see an epic battle if you are battling a powerful Pokemon. Say if you are battling a Salamence or Tyranitar, I want to see an intense battle that wants me wanting more! You cannot catch the Pokemon unless I say so. Please end your post when the Pokemon gets engulfed into the Pokeball. I will review and tell you either you got it or not.​

    • Character Name: Jake Samuels
    • Gender: Male

    • Personality: Jake is an extremely sarcastic person. He doesn't know when to contain himself at all, and it shows during formal occasions, where he is most formally scolded for being rude. He is also an extremely passionate and emotional person. His emotions usually get the best of him, and his actions reflect it, whether it be using his determination for a victory or his sadness to bring his downfall. During stressful positions, he is inclined to become an aggressive person towards those around him. This is one of the few emotions that he can control for himself, as he tries to keep his loves ones with close ties. He cares deeply for Pokémon, and would never let harm come their way, whether it is his own Pokémon or it is someone else's.

    • Appearance: Jake stands at roughly 5'8". He is appears to be scrawny, but he is actually rather built (He just makes it modest). He has messy, dark brown hair, which is a medium length. His eyes are a deep brown, but they occasionally change to a deep green. His teeth are rather white, and his smile is ear-to-ear. In general, Jake wears a plain blue tee shirt and khaki shorts, but when it is colder he also puts on jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt. At all times, a golden crucifix lies around Jake's neck, his last memento from his mother.

    • History: Jake started out early with a great life: Loving parents, a nice home to live in, and reliable friends. When he turned age 7, however, his mother die in a fire in her office building in Celadon City. His father gave him the golden crucifix that was hidden in her dresser. After that, Jake had grown a closer bond with his father; they spent as much time as possible, and Jake learned of sarcasm from his father. After his mother death, however, he lost control of his emotions: Something that traumatic at that age can seriously dent a kid! He has gained aggression due to the loss of his mother as well, as whenever someone puts something close to him in harm's way, he will take whatever measures necessary to protect them. When Jake turned 11, he and his dad moved from the city to a quiet life in Pallet Town, where Jake awaited becoming a Pokemon trainer. His dad constantly told him he wasn't of age yet, and his maturity level needed to increase. The moment he turned 12, however, his dad told him he was ready. He gave him a Chimchar from the Sinnoh region, and Jake and Chimchar (named Vulcan) began wandering around challenging people. With a few battles under his belt, he definitely has more experience than the beginning trainer.

    Character Name: Slate Hayz
    Gender: Male
    Experience: Better
    Age: 16
    Starter Pokemon: Treecko

    Personality: Slate is a very friendly boy. He's always helping people, no matter who they are, and the feeling he gets afterwards is whats makes him such a nice person. He is also very determined and intellectual. His facts and the way he talks sometimes confuses people and they say that he is too smart for his own good. Slate just laughs comments like these off, he doesn't have time for people who think he's a bit strange.

    When in battle, Slate becomes a completely different person. The smile on his face leaves and is replaced by a look of determination. Being the intellectual person he is, his battle strategies are usually over the top and complicated. Treecko has grown use to this in his short time with Slate and manages to pull off any move his trainer has for him. In the end, Slate doesn't mind if he wins or loses. He just enjoys the ride.

    Appearance: You'd think, with his personality, Slate wouldn't really care for looks. You'd be wrong. Slate stands at 6'2", with a slender figure, but quite a bit of muscle for his type of lifestyle. He has dark brown hair, with a slight maroon tinge to it, golden eyes, that seem to shine during the day and twinkle at night, and an easy complexion from spending his time equally indoors and out.

    Slate's usual attire consists of; a plain white t-shirt and a pair of black cargo pants. Along with; a pair of black and white sneakers, worn over white ankle socks, and, of course, his trademark accessory. A red headband. Sometimes he spikes his hair up, to show off his headband, but most of the time he has it hanging down lifelessly, concealing the headband slightly. Of course, when it gets cold, Slate throws on a jacket or jumper. Although, he doesn't have one of his own, so he usually borrows one from whoever he can.

    History: Slate had a great childhood, growing up with his father, Arkose, in Fuchsia City. His family are descendants of the once great Fushcia City Gym Leader, Koga. Slate's uncle was also around while he was growing up, but moved out some time after Slate turned ten. He hasn't seen him since.

    Arkose Hayz is the current owner of the Fushcia City Safari Zone and gets up early every morning to care for the Pokemon living there. Slate loved this about his father and always wanted to go work with him, sometimes he did, but other times he had to stay home and study. He was homeschooled.

    Slate's uncle was the trainer out of the two Hayz twins, he and Arkose, and always seemed to be going out for training every other day. He woke up after Arkose had left for work, so he would sometimes sneak Slate off with him. He always said: "One day it will be me who is watching you train your Pokemon." These words are what got Slate wanting to be a Pokemon trainer, even after his uncle had left.

    Personality: Joce is a very loud and outgoing girl. She laughs at everything, and can make anyone, no matter how angry or sad, feel better and laugh. She is able to laugh at herself, unlike some people who take life too seriously. Jess loves to have fun, and can make even the most boring situation a fun one. Give her a library, she'll play hide and seek. Jess is not a wimpy person. She may be a girl, but she is NOT weak. She'll kick anyone's butt who treats her like a weak little girl who can't take care of herself. Joce loves to play sports, especially with the guys. She thinks of herself as "one of the guys" and she hopes that the guys think of her that way, too.

    Joce also loves to play video games. Any game, anywhere, any house. She'll play it and finish it in a day. She is also a daredevil. She'll do things that other girls wouldn't even dream of doing, and most of the time without even getting in trouble! Most people really like Joce when they first meet her because of her friendly attitute, good outlook on life, and sense of humor.

    Appearance: Joce may seem like a total tomboy, and thats because she is! Joce has deep chocolate-brown layered hair that flows only to the small of her back. She has purple and blue streaks running through, but they are a bit faded. Her hair is usually pulled back nito a ponytail or just hanging down her back. Joce has emerald green eyes that remind many people of the summer trees. There are golden flecks that are speckled throughout the iris. Joce is always tan. No matter what season, her skin always seems to glow a golden brown.

    Joce, as was mentioned in the above paragraph, wears a lot of boyish clothes. Baggy shorts and jeans, Tee-shirts, converse and tennis shoes, etc. But she also likes to wear some kinds of girlier clothes like short-shorts, tank tops, flip-flops and sandals, and capris. Joce doesn't wear a lot of make-up. She only wears a bit of mascara here, some lipgloss there, but thats basically it.


    History: Joce was born in Celadon City in Kanto. She began her Pokemon journey when she was 12, a bit later than most young adults do. Jess had a disease that kept her from becoming a Pokemon trainer, although there is not much information on the subject because she does not like to talk of it. Joce grew up best friends with the Gym Leader of Celadon, Erika, whose parents were good friends with Joce's parents. Erika and Joce have gotten into a lot of trouble in their time together. Joce's mother works at the Celadon Department Store, and her father is, or was, a Pokemon Master. He is now retired because he did not want to be away from his wife and children for so long at a time.

    Joce has two brothers. Russell, who is 16, and Adam who is 7. They, and by they she means Russell, bully her a lot. He holds her down until she crys mercy, he knocks her into people, and he even pushes her into fountains and pools. Russell wants to be a Pokemon Master, but he never can be because he is too cruel to his Pokemon and to people in general. He still hasn't figured this out. He resents his sister because she is better liked than himself and Pokemon generally just listen to her better because she is kind.

    Character Name: Cristina 'Cris' Correra
    Gender: Female
    Experience: Better
    Age: 15
    Starter Pokemon: Mudkip
    Pokemon Nickname: Kaire

    Personality: Cris has an outgoing and rash personality. She always rushes into things before thinking, which could end up with drastic consequences for her. However, she does not jump to conclusions when something is happening. She takes action when she thinks needs to, which is always.

     Cris is always ready to make friends. She's a little too friendly, even trying to make friends out of total strangers. However, she knows who her enemies are, and she tends to stay away from them. She highly trusts her friends and would do anything to save their life.

    One of the strongest relationships she has is with her Mudkip, Kaire. These two are inseparable. Cris always uses Kaire first in battles, because she's confident that he'll do a good job. Their relationship is also strong because their personalities balance each other out. Cris is outgoing, rash, and headstrong, while Kaire is docile, calm, and sort of a worry-wort.

    Cris is a large tomboy as well. She's proud of this and says that it's better than a prissy girly-girl. She loves sports, especially basketball and soccer.

    Appearance: Cris always wears boyish clothes, rather than blouses and skirts. She is usually seen faded denim jeans, a plain white t-shirt, and an aviator's jacket. Sometimes, she wears baggy t-shirts and gym shorts. It depends on her mood. She also dons black hi-tops with odd-colored socks underneath them. Occasionally, Cris puts on dirty sneakers, but this happens when she's hiking through the woods.

    Cris has natural pale skin. She stands at a height of 5'8, making her tall for her age. Her hair is a medium brown with darken brown streaks. She wears it up in a high ponytail all the time, just because she hates hair in her face. Her eyes are a blue gray color. She's doesn't wear a lot of makeup, only it's against her 'so-called rules of tomboy-ism'.

    History: Cris was born and raised in Cerulean City under a single mother, who actually turns out to be Misty, the once local gym leader. She had one other sibling: an older brother, who is seven years senior to her. However, Cris is the only family one doesn't look like her mother, only because she inherited traits from her father's side. Her brother was a trainer, which inspired her to become a Pokemon Trainer. However, something changed the history of their family...

    The older brother, named Andrew, started to become more distant from his family. This happened when he was 16, while Cris was only nine years old. Andrew soon became involved with the mysterious Yagamoto. He started to capture many Pokemon, and trained them until they couldn't take any more. Finally, he entered the tournament with the tired-out Pokemon, and lost. Frustrated, he released them into the river in a poorly built basket. Even his starter Pokemon, a Wartortle, were among them. It didn't matter to him if they survived or not; all that mattered was that he needed to be strong for his master.

    Then one night, he left home. Andrew didn't leave a note or any sort of notification that he was gone for good. However, their mother did find out what he was doing, and blamed herself harshly for the incidents. She still does that today by the mention of his name. If you say his name to Cris, she'll become angry at you and say, "Don't you ever mention that bastard's name again, you got it?!"

    Apart from her brother, Cris grew up normally. Her mother forced her to start her journey at twelve because of the Andrew incident. Cris was sad about this at first, but soon accepted it. Later, on her twelfth birthday, she was given Kaire from her mother. With her mother's influence and her new friend, Cris was ready to start her journey.

    Character Name: Will Sydney

    Gender: Male

    Experience: Better

    Age: 16

    Starter Pokemon: Piplup, but I'm dropping him quickly.

    Pokemon Nickname: None.

    Personality: Will has a highly narcisistic personality. He believes that his Ideas are the only ideas, and if you don't agree, your wrong. Will is cold and unfeeling towards others, often disrespecting others as he sees fit. He finds enjoyment in the envy and praise of others. Despite his narcisistic, or even sociopathic tendencies, he often seems caring ir almost normal, since sometimes swaying others helps his intrests. Will is incredibly adept at reading other people, and predicting reactions. At the bottom of Will's personality is one thing: All that he does is purely in his intrests, and only helps others if it can benifiet him.

    Appearance: At fist glance Will often seems taller than he actualy is due to his, slender build, lanky looking arms, and long legs. Despite his appearance Will is actualy only 5'11". Although Will's arms are long and thin, they are suprisingly muscular. Wills face is well shaven and lacks any sort of blemish or imperfection, aside from a small cut under his cheek. His nose is slightly smaller than normal, and is about 30 degrees from his face. His chin is well rounded, but poorly defined. His eyes are pale green and his eyebrows are not very visible against his pale skin tone. His hair is blonde and spiked up big(picture Volkner).


    History: He was born on pacifidlog town the son of elite four Sydney. There were only a few kids on the rafts there, and Will often felt alone, leading him to start his decent to only caring about himself. When he moved to evergrade city after his father's elite four enduction, his father was constantly busy, and his mother wasn't willing to leave pacifidlog, splitting up his parents. When he got older he joined a prestigios academy, and was trapped on a desert island after a plane crash, barely surviving the experience.

    Appearance: From the outside Hannah seems to be just your average 12-year-old girl. She has quite pale skin and stands at about 4'7'', which she thinks is normal for her age. She's somewhat skinny, but it still looks healthy so far. What's more to say, Hannah has long, dark brown hair usually hanging freely uptill about halfway her back. Her face, too, seems normal; she has a small yet abit pointy nose, and deep blue eyes.​

    As for her clothes: Hannah's favourite hat is always a part of her outfit; it's a white hat with an blue ribbon on it. Apart from that, she is usually seen wearing a regular white T-shirt with some kind of picture on it, preferably a water Pokémon or something like the moon. When it's cold, she would wear a black jacket over her T-shirt... But that's usually kept safe in her shoulder bag.
    With all that, Hannah would often wear a white-and-blue-checkered skirt with white sneakers and dark grey stockings, all the way up to over her knees.​

    Personality: Hannah might appear to be very shy, and at first she is, when meeting up with people she's never met before. Yet when she realises the person can be trusted, she'll gradually open up to them. When she made a (real) friend, she would never let them down. Ever.
    She also tends to think carefully before acting or saying anything. This doesn't mean she responds slow, but when concentrating on something, she might not notice what happens around her. With that, Hannah can be the person to realize things quite quickly. Except.. When it's about herself, she can be quite dense, somehow.
    And lastly, even though she seems like a small and defenseless girl, Hannah can take care of herself. She wouldn't rely much on others. Nor would she be scared by wild Pokémon easily, unless they attack her or others close to her... Or when she's in a dark cave. She's never liked the darkness, and you'd have to read her history to find out why caves scare her the most. ​

    History: Hannah originally came from Mossdeep City in the Hoenn Region. She grew up normally in a happy family, consisting of her parents, her grandmother, her older brother Sebastian [16] and her younger sister Erin [7]. They all lived together in peace.
    Yet, however much Hannah's parents loved their children, they weren't home too often; they used to be at work all the time, both being researchers at the local Space Center. Especially when they had found something extraordinary or when a rocket or space shuttle would be launched, Hannah and her siblings wouldn't see their parents for days. Thus, the grandmother cared for their children. She always took them out to the beach, so all of them could play together and get used to all of the Pokémon around them.
    Yet once, her grandmother had taken them to the Shoal Cave, so she could meet up with her friend. This older man said he would make the children a Shell Bell if they could find him the ingredients. And so Hannah and her brother set off, leaving the small Erin behind with the grown-ups. After a while, the two had found a lot of Shoal Salt already. It was getting late, and they still had to go back from deep inside the cave. Then suddenly they heard the sound of water streaming rapidly.. They panicked. This could only mean one thing: The tide would change back to high tide, and there wasn't much time before they would have to swim out of there. Sebastian grabbed her sisters hand and they ran as fast as they could, but the sound was getting louder with the second. They ran and ran, when all of a sudden Hannah noticed the floor being wet, and the water level raising rapidly. They hadn't even reached the end of this 'hallway' yet, and they were in the water uptil over their knees.. A group of Golbat flew right over, frightening Hannah even more.
    Hannah was already tired of running so fast, and both of the siblings thought they wouldn't make it outside in time. That was when a group of Spheal and Sealeo appeared in front of them. Sebastian said they were lucky and headed towards them, when Hannah silently followed him, the water already reaching up to her hips.
    Sebastian still seemed to be brave for his sister, and tried to ask the group of Spheals to help them get outside. At first, some of the Spheal fled and the Sealeo prepared to attack. Hannah let out a scared cry and she was about to burst out in tears. Sebastian spread his arms in case they would indeed attack and explained again... This time, luckily, the Pokémon seemed to understand. Hannah and Sebastian were safely taken outside.. Yet Hannah didn't like any caves anymore.
    When they reached the entrance of the cave, they finally met up with the others again. They went home soon after thanking the Pokémon again, with Hannah still trembling. A few days later, the old man visited their house. He had tea with everyone, and soon presented two small gifts for Sebastian and Hannah: Two small Shell Bells. ''Tokens of your courage!'' he said, handing them to the children. Both of them were very happy with the gifts; Sebastian couldn't stop talking about the Bells and with that, his incredible courage. Hannah wasn't that outgoing over them, but did (and still does) always keep it with her as a lucky charm.​

    Personality: "If I had to describe Manny with a single word… it'd be naïve." At least, that's what Cuco always says about his younger brother. And naïve is a heck of a word to describe him, with a close second being clueless. Actually, Manny has been a fan of superheroes from TV since very little, and his favorite has always been Batman, since he didn't have any real 'superpower', just a lot of money, a big brain, and a sense of justice and judgment. Therefore, Manny has always tried to imitate his role model in his stance, train of thought, and at a certain point even in clothing and way of speech!

    This of course isn't all there is to Manny though, as he is also a very caring person who is fond of almost anything in nature. Manny's household is comprised of his parents, his grandparents from his mother's side, his brother Cuco (17yo), his sister Paola (14yo), himself, his baby brother Chamu (6yo), and their uncle (who is more like a cousin) Pepe (20yo) (note: Cuco, Pepe, Manny, and Chamu are nicknames). Coming from such a large family, Manny has been brought up in a happy environment and cares a lot for ALL living things, but he is also very cold when he sets himself to think tactfully (imitating Batman), and will not put his head anywhere it might get cut off.

    Appearance: Manny is of Spanish descent, and has a very Mediterranean aura to him. He has dark black hair, which is shoulder length when stretched out, but curls up about an inch from being coiled. His skin is olive, and he has a few brown freckles on his cheeks. His eyes seem a mixture in-between grey and blue giving him a cold look with eyes that look like steel. He has a rather small nose, big teeth, a strong chin, and his left ear is a bit thicker than his right due to a cauliflower he got when an American football punctured it when he was nine. His body is in-between thin and athletic, though he still has his 'child belly', and is still nimble because of his age.

    Manny's mom recently bought him a journey attire to prepare him for the best and the worst in his new trip. The attire consists of a headband, a wristband with a PokéNav attached to it, a white short-sleeved tight shirt, a bluish-grey vest with a hood (for protection against both the Sun and cold), a pair of running shoes, and blue pants with the zippers to turn to shorts. The kit also used to contain a cap which Manny prefers NOT to wear, and a pair of goggles that he lost, though he blames Chamu for it. Along with this, he also wears long white socks, and silver UnderArmor.

    History: (As previously stated) Manny comes from a rather large, and close-knit family. He has thus been able to live through a very nice childhood so far. There's really not much to say about his past: average grades in school, he only did enough to pass without issues; a bit of a romantic, he was the first of his friends to start liking girls (now he's the only one without a girlfriend). He has a lot of good friends who are also planning to go out on journeys like him, they promised they all promised they would meet again at the annual tournament, where one of them would become the Pokémon champion.

    Is it possible I can still sign up with Torchic? Obviously there's more than one Torchic in the world. I wanted to play a rookie, but instead of receiving the Pokemon from Oak himself (assuming he only has one to give away), can I work it into my backstory as a family pet?
     
    As soon as her alarm went off, Shelby's eyes snapped open. She sat up and quickly turned it off, double checking the time. It was very early, but she had made sure she had gotten up early on purpose. Today was the day her brother had finally allowed her to start her journey with a Pokémon, and she was more than ready. She had been aspiring for a Pokémon for a while now, and couldn't wait to get one for herself. She had even gotten up extra early to make sure she got the best one.

    Shelby dressed as fast as she could manage. She donned a T-shirt and jeans. Then she looked around, trying to think if she had forgotten to pack anything. Her bag didn't look too stuffed, so she double checked. She counted shirts, jeans, two sweatshirts, some snacks, and a few other random things that she knew would help her. She fumbled around with the zipper of the next compartment as she made sure she had her toiletries as well. Once this was done, she ran out of her room and into the kitchen.

    "Do you want me to go with you?"

    Shelby jumped. She looked over at the table and saw her brother sitting there with a Pidgey resting on his shoulder. Shelby let out a breath and shook her head. "I think I can manage a walk to Professor Oak's lab," she said. Her brother shrugged and handed Pidgey a small piece he had torn off of bread.

    "Let me know if you make it to Viridian City," her brother said. A small smirk graced his features. Shelby's eyes narrowed and she stuck her tongue out at him.

    With a few more small words, Shelby walked out the door and onto the dirt road that wound through Pallet Town. She headed towards Professor Oak's lab, wondering which Pokémon she should chose to start her journey with. While she mused, she didn't even realize that she had wound up directly in front of the lab's gates. She walked through, noting the large backyard with several Pokémon roaming around. Shelby stopped and then knocked on the door, waiting for it to open.

    Moments later the door opened and Professor Oak stood in the doorway. A small smile broke out on his face, and he invited her in. Shelby walked through the archway, stopping just inside the lab. He told her to follow, so she followed him to a room with a large desk and several Pokeballs on it. Shelby stayed silent, still trying to hurriedly decide which Pokémon to take.

    "Well, these," Professor Oak began, pulling up a large poster, "are your choices." He pointed to each Pokeball, told the name of the Pokémon, and pointed to the picture that was on the poster. Shelby blinked as she took in the information. "So!" Professor Oak said, setting the poster down and surprising Shelby with his abruptness. "Which Pokémon will you be taking on your journey?"

    "Uh…" Shelby said slowly. She suddenly knew which Pokémon she wanted. She wasn't sure how, but she just knew. "Totodile." The word tumbled from her mouth before she was really prepared, but the Pokémon Professor nodded and walked over to the table. He picked up the fourth or so Pokeball in line and then handed it to Shelby.

    "Now take good care of it," he advised. Then he walked behind the desk and rummaged around some more. Moments later he produced some Pokeballs, which he handed to Shelby as well. She took them and put them away. She clipped Totodile's Pokeball in place on her bag's strap. "There, that should get you started! Good luck on your journey."

    Shelby turned and walked away from the professor, calling thanks to him over her shoulder. She walked out the door of the lab, ready to start her new adventure.

    Just three days until the annual Viridian Champion Tournament and many trainers from around the world have gathered in Viridian for the tournament. Signing up for the tournament will be open until the end of Day 3. You must have a minimum of two Pokemon for this tournament and a maximum of four. The tournament will start on Day 4.

    The tournament will be split up into sections – five sections: A, B, C, D, and E. There will be four trainers in each section. This is how the rounds will go…

    Now, here are the Pokemon you can find along the routes by Viridian City. Pokemon from many different regions have migrated along to Kanto.

    Route near Pallet Town: Pidgey, Starly, Rattata, Sentret, Zigzagoon, Spearow, and Bidoof.
    Route near Entrance to League of Champions: Nidoran (M and F), Spearow, Aron, Sandshrew, and Gligar… these Pokemon you will need to ask permission from me or Scarecrow before encountering them: Gible, Bagon, and Larvitar.
    Viridian Forest: Caterpie, Weedle, Spinarak, Wurmple, Ekans, Pikachu, and Shinx… these Pokemon you will need to ask permission from me or Scarecrow before encountering them: Scyther, and Pinsir.

    Here are the descriptions of the routes…

    Route near Pallet Town: A very busy route, a road was built through the small grassland. Even if the road is safe, some Pokemon usually jump out near trainers for battles or just for friendly attention.
    Route near Entrance to League of Champions: A very rocky mountain that also has a grassland that several species of Pokemon live in. Not many people cross through the mountain area because there's a road now below the mountain.
    Viridian Forest: Because it's the only way to get from Viridian City to Pewter City, there was a road built straight through the forest. However, sometimes trainers will travel through the forest to collect Pokemon and meet cute little bug Pokemon.

    NEWS FLASH:

    "A white Pidgey was spotted in the Viridian one day by a passing trainer.
    "' It was beautiful!' the trainer told us. 'Its wings were icy white and its beak and feet were golden yellow. I tried fighting it with my Pokemon but unbelievingly, the Pidgey took them down easily.' The trainer also had told us that after it flew off, he noticed that the branch it perched on was covered in ice.
    "Is this a new breed of Pokemon that we do not know about? If you've seen this Ice Pidgey, please contact nearby authorities because it is believed to be dangerous."

    OOC: Fine whatever, but once I catch a dark type he's going to be used severly less.

    IC: Will sat atop professor Oak's lab's roof. He wasn't completely sure how he got up there, but the breeze was exhilerating. He looked at his odd blue pokeball. His dad gave it too him when Will decided he would start anew in Kanto. Will placed second in the Sinnoh championships and in his depression he released all his pokemon back to the wild.

    I shoulda kept my pokemon. Who would want a Piplup anyway

    Will jumped down off the roof of the lab. He opened the lab doors and waved to Professor Oak. Will's dad knew Professor Oak fairly well, and Will met Oak once before, "Hello professor how are the newest recruits?"

    Professor Oak turned to Will, "Oh hello, your the elite four's son. He told me you'd stop by, and to answer your question, only one has shown up."

    Will smiled, " I'd realy love to chat, but I was just stopping in, I only have 3 days to catch some pokemon with some pokemon potential. I'll be seeing you," Will walked out of the lab and north toward route one. As he stepped into the untamed grass, he saw a little bidoof. He kicked it and laughed.

    Wow that's even more pathetic than Piplup.

    He was on his path to redemtion.

    OOC: Sorry it's so short, not much realy to post on. And may I please encounter Larvitar at the league entrance, it's the only pokemon thats supposed to evolve into a dark type on that list.
