The Kingdom Hearts Series

Hello there!

Since Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX is coming out this year, I wanted to make a thread about my favorite series in video games. I loved the game since I was 11 years old, since the very first Kingdom Hearts came out, well more or less, my best friend got me into it, he forced me to play, when I saw Donald and Goofy at Deep Jungle I feel in love with the series! I remember when I received my first import game and my favorite entry in the series Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix But anyways, I'm so happy 11 years after Kingdom Hearts was release we got Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX first time ever outside of Japan NA/EU and all over got Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. I just can't calm down my excitement of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX for the PS3. Also very excited and can't wait to see the new Kingdom Hearts 3 that is coming out to PS4 and Xbox One in the future!

I want to know what is your favorite entry of the series, and why?

My favorite is Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix (as I said above), the reason is, all the content it has in the game the extra that wasnt in the Vanilla version. Especially that Roxas battle, the music like the Other Promise is amazing.

I would like to discuss about Kingdom Hearts to fellow fans of the series!

Ah, Kingdom Hearts. I remember getting KH 2 when I was 9 for Christmas. Of course I had absolutely no idea what it was but it had Mickey Mouse on it and that was all that mattered to me! That was literally the only reason I played the game. :P Of course I loved that game for many more reasons then that, and played it so much that I literally wore the disk out. XD Last I checked I had somewhere around 600 hours on it. It also introduced me to Final Fantasy. And was one of the main reasons that I grew to love RPGs so much.

...If only I hadn't broken both the game disk and my PS2... :(

Kingdom Hearts changed everything to me about gaming. When Im sad or depressed I play the game to put me in a better mood about my day, especially Kh2fm. Thus why Kh2.5 is gonna be my favorite entry so far! :D

I have already followed the story through my brother playing Kingdom Hearts. Although we have never completed KH1 (since we can't defeat Riku for the love of anything), CoM (we still can't get used to that card system), or KH3D (it's always sold out whenever we visit the store).

Still, the KH 2.5 will surely rock our socks since we've already completed (and watched the secret endings to) most of the games featured in it

Watching the scenes and battles is so different from actually playing it. Trust me. you're gonna enjoy the extra content (Which I think you know). Kh2FM feels like the most complete KH game (IMO), it has so many post game extras which leaves you hours to play!

Too bad my PS2 broke down by the time we found a KH2FM disk. At least I have experienced half of KH2 and Re:CoM before it did. :'D

So all I have completed are 358/2 Days as well as Re:Coded. We just got BBS when I was a tad busy with High School, and now I really don't have time to play it anymore. :'D

The only ones in the series I've played are 1 and 2. We have Chain of Memories and Days at home, but I've never been terribly interested in playing those ones. I really wanted to play Birth by Sleep, but that one was PSP only.....I've never owned a PSP. We also have Dream Drop Distance at home, so I'll get around to playing that one some time. What I'm really waiting on is Kingdom Hearts 3.

It's a pretty solid series overall....provided they actually go somewhere with the overall story (I'm thinking of Assassin's Creed, who's overall story is going nowhere fast).

Well, If you have a PS3, Get 1.5, the whole reason for the HD collections are for Newer fans to know how the story started, and older veterans players to replay what they may have forgotten about the series before Kingdom Hearts 3. But its about Summer time so I say buy it and play a bit at a time. KH3 is gonna take a while since its still early in its development. So you do got time!

KH1.5 and KH2.5 is there for you to replay the series as a whole before 3 comes to our shelves.

Just KH2.5 excites me like no other, Final Mix is my favorite, in HD with all those amazing battles and content in HD excites me, especially Roxas' battle!



^ can't wait till this is in HD and in NA/EU regions, my all time favorite Boss battle ever in KH. :)

Well, there isnt plans for it, but Tai Yusei has said it is possibility they might bring over the collection to the most recent generation of systems.

Plus the PS3 KH1.5 and Kh2.5 will always be there and Im sure you are gonna play it sometime in the future. :3

Absolutely loved these games. As a kid growing up me and my brother bonded while playing these games. we would share a save file and play on and off. Great memories. Now that 3 is coming out I'm so exited. Looking at this makes me want to play both games again and both are in front of me.
