hey there everyone.
every time i visit this club i like it more and more. i don't really get why tho. XD;

oh and Landorus.
i love your drawing. it's really amazing <3.

but um.. i haz a question.
after watching the trailer (and reading the description that goes with it)
apparently the series is about

.... i'm not sure, but Aang pretty much learned to bend a new element every book.. so would that mean this series is only as long one book?
tho it'd make sense if they'd call it the last book 'Air' then, i guess :/

Well, maybe they changed the pattern. Maybe she only masters them in each book. Water could be when she masters it well, and so on and so on. And then wind, well, when she learns it.

Who's calling it a spin-off? The creators have called it a sequel - there is nothing that makes it a spin-off.

it seems the first announcements of the new series named it a spin-off.. i first noticed it on the avatarwiki, anyway. they're calling it a 'spin-off of Avatar: The Last Airbender'.
iono what the creators said tho, haven't gotten the chance to talk to them yet.
i do like the phrase 'sequel' alot better than 'spin-off' tho.. it just makes it seem that much more worthwhile.

The creators called it a sequel.

Since it has nothing really major to do with the main series beside..you know, the Avatar, it can't really be a spin-off.

Now if the show was furthering the stories of the old crew and only that then it would be. But a spin-off is more..Cleveland Show.
 
In my opinion; I wanna see what it's like before calling it either a 'spin-off' or 'sequel'. I mean, if it has a lot of traits I don't like and everything I'd rather call it a 'spin-off' than a 'sequel'. It could very well be a 'spin-off sequel'.

Still; I hope that they mention some original characters in it, other that the main characters.

All this reminds me of my YuexSokka theme

What don't you like..? We don't know that much, and what we do know is basically that many things remained the same (art, concept, etc) except for the plot and characters.

Also, There will be mention of original characters other than the main ones. That's confirmed.
 
I wanna see the first episode before I make judgements. If I don't like how the story is going or anything than I'd rather call it a 'spin-off'. Or if they make mentions of the original cast that I don't approve of, like something that could or couldn't have happened.

And it appears I read your post wrong. I thought you said "There are a lot of traits I don't like" not "If there are a lot of traits I don't like"

One thing that really made me happy was the cabbage guy. The cabbage guy himself isn't going to be there - but something similar. I am excited to see what this is..especially in a modern world..

A different cabbage guy? That makes me somewhat sad; seeing how I loved the him soo much~ But it would be unrealistic if he was still there soo yeah. Mebbe the 'something similar' would be his descendent or something.

The fact that it's taking part in a modern world gives me mixed feelings. It would mess it all up, or do the opposite.

I think their taking a bold risk changing the environment, but your right that it could make/break the new series. The thing is, they had to do something to the atmosphere, since its 70 years in the future.

The only major change I'm drastically worried about is the fact they've switched most of the 'kids' into 'adults'. The show is on nickelodeon. Isn't it suppose to appeal to a younger audience? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
 
They're not adults. They're all around Zuko's and Sokka's age. (16-17)

Mike and Bryan said that the series is still going to retain it's humorous atmosphere, but is going to be more serious too because the majority of the fans are..well, older now.

Yeah, chances are, the audience will consist of those of us who enjoyed the Last Airbender, and seeing as the show's been around for awhile, most of us are more grown up.
 
I hope that the characters still maintain original traits like they did in the original cast; and that none of the characters in this cast seem like just another version of a original character just being a little bit different.

My favourite bending would probably have to be Earth or Water, but my personality would be more Fire, I suppose.

She might've been banished, or might've escaped. I have nearly no clue.

Ahh, I'm not much of a shipper, when it comes to Avatar. Especially when it already had it's fair amount of romance already, lol.
Uh, Sokka x Suki? I liked Sokka x Yue more, but sadly, that wasn't allowed. D:

This is a question I can't really answer. There are tons of episodes I really like in the series, so it's hard to choose.
 
Oh, I've been off for a day or two, and this happens?
-I'd really enjoy it if they kind of put a good plot. I mean, the first series plot was good, but I can't judge unless I watched it of course. One thing that does worry me is the fact that there is a chance there will be a character that will probably act like an original without having any connection....but yes, it's common and I would expect a child to be like his father or grandchild, so that would be the excuse for that trait.

I don't think having one character act like a past one would bother me as long as it's not exactly like the old character.

There are only a limited number of personalities when viewed in a general sense.
