Which dual-type combination do you prefer? Grass/Poison? Grass/Flying? Grass/Fighting? etc.

I would say Grass and Electric because of Electric being my favourite type but there's only Rotom... so not really

Guess for me it's a tie against Grass/Poison and Grass/Fighting are quite the combination. Grass poison being cause Bulbasaur is there and Grass/Fighting cause Breloom is there.

but we know that truth that pure grass types are truly awesome ;D

I also sorta like Grass/Dark but not as much as the other 2
 
For me, I prefer Grass/Flying, Grass/Bug, and Grass/Water. I tend to not stick with Grass/Bug types since they're super-effective against pure bug-types, but the grass-type moves learned kinda got stuck with me. xD Grass/Flying has been quite helpful, especially with Tropius, which can actually learn Leaf Storm AND learn the HM move fly at the same time.
 
I think that the Grass/Water combination is pretty cool. Even if there is just the Lotad line in there it's pretty good that you can cut out the grass, fire and electric weakness towards them. I think there should be more of that combination.

As for Grass/Flying I like both Shaymin/Skymin and Tropius. Tropius is quite close with all of it's base stats but it's Defense being slightly higher than it's attack. With Skymin I like it's speed and it's high Special Attack, either way they both learn Leaf Storm which is one of my favourite grass type moves

I personally like Grass/Steel because it packs many resistances to many different types, even granting immunity to poison-types. Grass/Water is another preference because it has only few weaknesses which are not often used in today's competitive metagame.
 
I found Snivy ok,though it isn't really one of my favourites since I felt like it was similar to Treeko of which I liked more. I have a thing for liking pokemon with Speed and Treeko is slightly faster in base speed than Snivy is. Snivy stats for attack are higher where as Treeko has a higher Special Attack and both their Defence and Special Defence are the same. Comparing them in final form Serperior is faster than Sceptile but Serperior being more of a defensive grass type and Sceptile being more Attack and Offensive.
I'm more of attack rather than defence sooo....

I like the Grass/Ground combo of Torterra, mainly because my rival's Infernape has no chance against his Ground Type. But I hate the x4 ice weakness. Dx

Honestly, it's hard for me to determine a favorite combo, because I just love all Grass-types in general. :)

Grass/Poison packs a lot with status ailments plus a handy Giga Drain. Grass/Flying is cool too, too bad there's only Tropius and Sky Forme Shaymin. :x
 
For those who are new, welcome aboard to the Leafy Forest! :) I see that a lot of you prefer Grass/Fighting types. I find that a pretty cool combination as well. :)

There are a bunch out there, so there's gotta be more than one favorite. So I think three is perfect. ;)

Leech Seed: It such an amazing and annoying move. It's like a better leftovers that drains health from your opponent. It's SO good.
Power Whip: Best Grass move for physical Grass types.
Razor Leaf: Just for nostalgia. I really like this move in general, especially in the anime.

Solarbeam: Very powerful and extensive damage is done. Assuming my enemy is weaker and I dont have sunny day, I care less on the extra wait for a turn.
Giga Drain: Your opponent loses health while you gain half of that health that was lost back.
Leech Seed: Same effects as Giga Drain. Though it isnt as powerful of a move, it lasts throughout the rest of the battle.

Leaf Storm - I don't know why I like that move, even if it reduces your Special Attack. Probably because it's a powerful grass type move.
Energy Ball - Anime-wise I really liked this move, especially when Kenny's Breloom used it
Giga Drain -I swear I overused it in Diamond with my Roselia xD

I overuse that move for every grass type I ever get xD

What are your three favorite Grass-type moves?

Leaf Blade: A good, powerful move for the physical grass types
Giga Drain: I love this move, because not only does it inflict damage but it gives your Pokemon HP. I like to torture trainers with this one. :cheeky:
Leech Seed: Sucks up your target's HP every turn! And it never runs out (unless they switch) Amazing combo with Giga Drain and Leftovers, because it leaves your opponent with not many ways to bring down your Pokemon's HP.

1. Giga Drain - Obviously one of the BEST Grass move there is. :P
2. Energy Ball - It's so pretty. And packs a bomb too~! =3
3. Leaf Tornado - It has awesome animation in-game and in the anime! xD
 
What are your three favorite grass-type moves?
Spore - Exclusive and often times extremely useful.
Giga Drain - With the enhancements in Gen V, Giga drain is a stable move that also heals you.
Power Whip - 120 BP + Grass Type Move + Physical = Win.

That would have to be:
1: Leaf Storm
2: Solarbeam
3: Leech Seed (idk why,, but it's useful xD)
 
Leaf Storm is by far my favorite move. The only disadvantage to that is it does lower Special Attack harshly, but the results are pretty good.

Razor Leaf, as Spinosaurus mentioned, I also like this move because of nostalgia. And since this was a move existed since the first generation, it's still a pretty awesome move no matter what.

Last but not least, Solarbeam. It's Meganium's signature move. Use it with Sunny Day = BOOM. Best move ever.

If I could have four favourites Razor Leaf would be my fourth favourite move. Apart that it was my favourite Anime for 1st gen where I really loved Bulbasaur using it, I really like it's Japanese name: Leaf Cutter
 
I was going to include 4, because I actually like more than four moves...but I went ahead and chose three instead. Haha.

For our new topic, we're going to talk about our lovely gym leaders.

So far, there are only three grass-type Gym leaders as of Generation 5: Erika of Celadon City, Gardenia of Eterna City, and Cilan of Striaton City. Which of the three did you like the best in terms of Pokemon, battling, and personality?
