Just thought I'd make a thread about a game series that should be on everyone's top 10 list. Chat here about the amazing games that have been keeping us going where Pokemon failed to!

List of Zelda games since 1986

    1986: The Legend of Zelda
1987: Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
1991: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
1993: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
1998: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
2000: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
2001: The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Oracle of Seasons
2002: The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords
2002: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
2004: The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
2004: The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
2006: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
2007: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

And finally, the latest release into the Zelda franchise...
2009: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
A game long awaited by many Zelda fans, this game is run on the DS and DSi handhelds, and uses a similar gameplay to Phantom Hourglass.
In this video, Link can be seen riding a steam train, an interesting turn on the Zelda game series. Don't you just wuv his wittle conducter's hat? :3

Zelda stopped being cool around Wind Waker, which imo is the best Zelda. Wasn't huge on TP and Phantom hourglass was atricious, spirit tracks looks to be even worse.

I guess we can all say The Legend of Zelda derailed from it's normal gameplay with the help of that train.

Also, Majora's Mask was the best.

Also, Majora's Mask was the best.
    Heck yes.
    :D
    I loved Majora's Mask.
And OoT was good too. :]

And, yes, I'm very intrigued by this new game. I'll be getting it. *^O^*
I cannot wait for more information.

    Speaking of corny jokes...

"You slept through the trailer, you dummy!"

"Who's the dummy? You watched it!"

"DOH HO HO HO HO HO HO!"

And Majora's Mask was horrid. :X

Not quite sure on this Spirit Tracks thing (as much as I like trains). I agree that it doesn't seem Zelda-ish, and it doesn't seem as good of a use of the touch screen as the boats were in Phantom Hourglass.

Speaking of which, the worst part of Phantom Hourglass was going through that Temple of the Sea King over and over and over and over and over again after every other dungeon in the game. It got so repetitive, and that's why I haven't finished (or touched) Phantom Hourglass in months.

I do mimic the call for a new Wii Zelda game.

MM was not horrid. It was both deep and hard, which is quite rare for a Zelda game.

I thought Ocarina of time and Majora's mask complemented each other perfectly I loved them so much when I was a kid.

Spirit tracks looks interesting but it looks like it will be like phantom hourglass, thats really disapointing.

Coming from a person who likes to take their time during games, explore every nook and cranny, and talk to every NPC.

    It was horrid.

That three day gimmick was not the sort of "hard" games need to be. It was needless frustration.

I love Majora's Mask (The best in my opinion), and I disagree a lot with Shadow, but my opinion is different. Majora's Mask was deep and kind of the black sheep a bit from the Zelda franchise (transformations, not Save the Princess, but Save the World, Repetition). But I am one of those nerds (no offense to people) who sit and play video games a lot. (If I could, I would all day).

The new train idea sounds... Well, a huge step away from Zelda. Everything after Wind Waker wasn't as good but this is just...

This post conveys my opinions perfectly. Thank you FoxHound!, for saving me a couple minutes of my life.

Also, Majora's Mask > Ocarina of Time.

Legand of Zelda was a cool series. I think Zelda looked really pretty in Super Smash Bros. Melee and pretty sexy in Brawl. I loved some of the games I have played and also the game music was really soothing.

    You are my new hero.

Although I'm quite excited for Spirit Tracks, and the only reason as to why I hated Phantom Hourglass was because of the fact that you had to go back to the same time-limit/stealth temple all the frikkin' time.

    That ruined it for me.

Orcarnia of Time is and always will be one of my favorite games, but, I think I'm starting to think Twilight Princess is almost tied, but still remains a close second.
In EVERY Zelda game, I always get stuck in the temple that uses water. It took me 3 years to finish the water temple without looking up any guides when I was 12... as you can tell, I gave up. XD
I'm not sure wiether to be scared of spirit tracks or not... Hourglass was a BIG dissapointment for me, and the Wind Waker, I liked for a change of scenery, but, please, you can do better than that! I wanna see hotty teen link. XD

Anyways, on another note, I wanna see a DS game with TEEN LINK IN ALL OF HIS SMEXEHNESS! XD I love Teen Link, he was the highlight of my games. XD

Also, Majora's Mask > Ocarina of Time.
Conveys it perfectly? Really? No reasons were given.

Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are terrific, but any love in this thread for the 2D handheld titles? The Minish Cap and Link's Awakening are brilliant games.

I have no love for Zelda handheld games, sorry, but I prefer my Zelda games 3D.

Anyways, the only Zelda games that I actually liked was OoT, MM, and WW. Those three followed each other quite nicely.

Dont forget about the abominations that were on the phillips cd-i (google it) :P

anyway my fave was windwaker , i just loved it it was so beautiful i couldplay it all day long :D

Those. Never. Happened. Ever. ...Mah boi.

The only (real) Zelda game I'll truly ever despise is Adventures of Link. Majora's Mask just ticked me off with the constant resetting to Day One and Phantom Hourglass annoyed me with the Temple of the Sea King. I'll call them horrid, but I still like most Zelda games.

Just not Adventures of Link. And those CDi monstrosities never happened. Neither did the TV show. YouTube made them all up. "Link must rescue the two pieces of the Triforce."

If those never happened why talk like the king XD
Anyway am i the only one who finds the oracle duo a sheer piece of genious when it comes to how cool they can be if you properly play them with the trading and everything? As well as that i also found OoT to be really damn amazing(bar the fact that i could never get passed the freaking whack a mole dragon) and MM dunno i never found it really cool but it was fun. WW i never actually played it so whatever and well PH was pretty darn fun along with the temple. All the games have there good sides and bad sides so i love them all and hate them all but with a bit more love for the oracle games cause they got me into zelda.
