[Other Fandoms] The Mario Kart Alliance

Okay, this is a neat question. My favorite characters to use in any Mario Kart tend to be just whoever I feel like racing as at the moment, with the exception of Double Dash.
I'm honestly not sure if this is a thing in any other Mario Kart games, but in DD, your car choice exclusively depended on what weight class the 2 characters chosen fell into, with heavier characters always taking the car priority in the event of a mix. I never really liked how the heavier cars felt to drive in DD, especially the mid-line cars, most often choosing the lightweight drivers instead. And my personal favorite combo being Bowser jr. and Diddy Kong due to having the extra effect of letting me roll their special weapons (HUGE slow Bowser shell and BIG banana that splits into 3 smaller ones when it's ran over) while staying light. (also Diddy's train car is the best car and nothing anyone says will change my mind)

I wish they'd bring back the concept of special items from DD. They'd need more balancing, but I feel like it'd make the characters a lot more unique compared to now where the only distinction is their weight class

I absolutely agree.
 
What are you guy's favorite tracks? Personally, I really like the Bowser's Castle courses; they're almost all really unique outside the SNES/Super Circuit iterations and tend to be a bit more strategic/difficult then the average track due to needing to be unlocked.
 
I'll always love Rainbow Road tracks, but another special group for me are the ones that heavily feature water. There's just something so beautiful about them that I love looking at. (I also really love that F0 track, but it doesn't fit into either of these LOL)
