The Masterball (what do you use it on?)

I always use to use it on the last legendary of the game in the older versions.

In the newer ones I just threw it at legendaries that I was too lazy too catch, like Rayquaza in Ruby, and Cresselia in Diamond (Stupid, I know....).

Now though, starting from Platinum and starting over Ruby and Leafgreen, I just save them. I got 2 in Plat., one from the game and 1 from Leafgreen. I also have another in Ruby but I haven't pal parked a pokemon with it attached yet. I just figure maybe I can throw in an MB in a trade to get something good, and it's not like I really need them.

Red & Blue & Yellow ; I never did use it.

Silver & Crystal ; Same deal as above here.

Sapphire ; Kyorge. Impatience got the better of me.

Emerald ; Mew. I didn't feel like putting up with it. XD

LeafGreen ; Never used it.

Pearl ; Palkia. I didn't realize at the time Palkia's catch rate is the same as Chatot's. How typical I suppose~

Platinum ; Shiny Giratina.. after like 3408348 soft resets that is. :3 Probably the best decision to use the Master Ball I've made, sadly. XD

I was playing Sapphire recently for the fun of it and I used it on Latias. Kyogre I got with a few great balls... but Rayquaza, meh, I can suffer without a masterball. Oh and I caught all three regis without a masterball too, so yeah :D

I usually shy away from using the MasterBall, but this time I plan to save it until Arceus is released

Nothing! It's still in my bag.

Real men use Pokeballs :D
Or premiere balls. That's what ive been catchin all my pokemon with lately.

Red: I used Missingno. glitch so I practically just used it on any Pokemon I encountered.
Gold: I forget.
Pearl: Mesprit
Platinum: Don't have it yet.

I always end up using the master ball before I "should" because I get impatient.

For example: in red, I used it on zapdos because I got frustrated after dozens of ultra balls failing.

A while ago, I mostly used my Master Balls on the games' mascot, such as Kyogre in Sapphire and Rayquaza in Emerald. However, as the times go by, I realize that I do have the possibility of catching one using regular Poke Balls. Ever since, the Master Ball remained untouched.

I usually duplicate my master ball with the cloning glitch then I use it on version mascots, roaming legendaries and event pokemon.

On Mewtwo, Suicune, Groudon, Rayquaza, Giratina, Arceus in that order from Red & Blue to Platinum

sadly...
when i got my first pokegame, sapphire, i didn't know you could only get one masterball without using the lottery (which, but the way, i hate, once it gave me a MB and then when i went to use it on raquaza, my game froze, same thing happened every time i won.), so i decided to just go out and have a never-mind to it.
so i found a "really powerful pokemon" (im not tellin' 'till the end) and i had it down to 1 HP. i paralyzed it and threw like 50 UBs at it, but i still couldn't get it. i was down to one pokemon, and i had searched for HOURS to find the thing, so i wasn't giving up now.
i looked in my bag and found one last pokeball. it was my MB.
i threw it at the pokemon and....
"Congratulations! you caught a Pelliper!"
then my friends all laughed at me for being so stupid with the floopin' thing.
i restarted my game and used it on kyogre.
i don't have my game now, i must have lost it in the depths of my HUGE couch.
hope you all LOL'd at that one,
manyo
Thats funny I used mine on rayquayza

i usually use it on those rascally pokemon that run around all over creation. i try to catch regular legendaries with ultra balls or pokeballs, paralyze, whittle em down, then false swipe works pretty reliably and i find they tend to get caught with pokeballs more often than ultra balls (weird, i know) but i hate having to chase the legendary dogs all up and down this world.

in gen 1 mewtwo, no roamings
gen 2 ho-oh, didnt know about roaming dogs
gen 3 rayquazza because i was lazy and forgot to save before the battle
gen 4, dialga first time, girantina the second time, and i haven't got to regigigas yet, that should be fun. i have to admit i did use AR to catch cressila and mespirit, because i hate chasing those dogs.
