Dont mind if I change to some sort of discussion. I just read an article about a Supernova occurring back when the dinosaurs were around and how the light has only just reached telescopes here.

They must have, or in some form. Their remanants show that. Otherwise, where did all their bones come from??? They must have come from somewhere to start with.

You can't expect the "cave" people to have recorded the sightings down. Dinosaurs would have been common back then, plus if I remember correctly, dinosaurs actually were on the planet and wiped out before human form existed. Also, they have said that the pre-historic homosapiens actually had a bigger brain capacity then current humans do, which meant that they may have had a bigger brain which could have also given them bigger memories.

Wtf?? Matured people. Where did that come from?

Look around in a museum or a place that currently keeps dinosaur bones. Where did they come from? I think the term is Archaeologist (sp?) went, and dug up those bones out of the ground. And using scientific methods (i.e. carbon dating) they worked out how long ago the bones came from.

This will turn into a Religion vs Science discussion...
I think there are better things to do, then making specific details within bones and then planting these "easter eggs" all over the world when other evidence suggests otherwise.

But the scientists methods may not always be correct, who knows, everything in life might not be the correct way it was meant to be.

But...fine, when I die..I'll try and find out why those bones are there, and why they didn't come from God's boredom one day. But I find that weird aswell..where God came from..and how he was born.

You could say that, but judging by the huge amount of work and evidence that they have already, it should technically be very accurate by now.
Well, there's a meaning to everything apparently, and that will lead out to some sort of thing being correct and fit it a logistical pattern of a sort.

Well, I believe active Moderators would help that situation out a lot, cutting back on spam and such. Heck...I look at the list of Moderators and some of them I havn't seen online in months. If you aren't going to do your job the right way, you should at least have the decency to step down like Lightning and Ryotaro did to let someone else step in. Mind you, I'm not referring to all Mods with that statement. I'm well aware certain individuals do more than their share of work.

Yeah, I keep seeing the same two moderators listed for the area, yet I NEVER see them do anything there o.0...not to say that they aren't good at their jobs, they just...don't do anything. I can think of at least a couple users that would at least be close to banned if it was moderated properly...*sigh*

Of course, that's just that area. I see the other staff online enough to know it isn't a problem through the entire Community.

You assume that you'll be aware enough to do so after you die. What if you're not?

Yeah, I keep seeing the same two moderators listed for the area, yet I NEVER see them do anything there o.0...not to say that they aren't good at their jobs, they just...don't do anything. I can think of at least a couple users that would at least be close to banned if it was moderated properly...*sigh*

I don't see this as being one simple problem though. It's a combination of various different issues. For one, as I already pointed out, PC has the least amount of Moderators that it's had in a long, long, time. (Just an example; 4 Staff Administrators now down to 3, 4 Assistant Administrators now down to 3, and 5 Super Moderators now down to 3...) Then you've got the inactivity of certain Moderators which certainly doesn't help. On top of all that there's the massive influx of new, young, inexperienced members that have come with the interest in D/P. All that adds up to create a plethora of DBEs, driving off a good amount of veteran, experienced members which we desperately need around. Not a good situation at all...

Currently, however, some moderators are taking time away from PC, like me, for example, due to finals and such coming up. Hopefully when the summer comes 'round things'll start to straighten out and we might get more activity here.

One thing to remember when you don't see mods online is that quite a few of them are set to invisible mode, so only other staff members can see them online. But, you are right, though, a few mods could do with quitting/being replaced as there are some inactive ones and some that just don't have enough work to warrant that mod spot.

And there are some people who are deserving of promotions. Signomi, in my opinion, should've been an SMod before FG and Jeremy. With all due respect to both of them, as they have been staff for a long ass time, but when they were promoted, neither of them were incredibly active or had massive mod logs, whereas Siggy is always on.

And you should be in contention for a mod offer should Ashley ever quit. My money was on either you or Matt to replace me as DCC mod.

And somehow I don't see this being a really relevant topic to anyone apart from the h-staff. It's not something that anyone can join in to, so...

Yeah, the database errors are causing a lot of members to give up with PC altogether, but I can't say I blame them completely. I mean, I think it's stupid when people go "OMG, I'M LEAVING FOREVA" but I can understand why people aren't as frequent posting due to it.

Anyway, this EXACT same thing happened when Ruby/Sapphire came out. It'll get better--it always does. Better doesn't necessarily mean the same though. It'll have to change~ Besides, it really doesn't matter how many mods we have since we've got certain h-staff who pretty much take care of everything anyway. *shrug*

...Really? I joined about when Emerald came out, so I wouldn't know...huh. Though...I'm not sure that analogy quite fits. Diamond/Pearl aren't the same as Ruby & Sapphire, mainly because of one factor: Wi-Fi. With that in the mix, I'm not very confident of this getting better without somebody MAKING it get better.

......And I'm not so sure those h-staff can do it alone. Take a look at what's been going on there if you don't believe me. We've got quadruple posts, pointless off-topic semi-discussions, and......some of the worst beatings on the English language that I've seen on here. If that sort of thing were to spread to the rest of the forums......*shudder*

Well, you can still report it. So long as you aren't reporting everything, it's fine, even if what you report isn't necessarily against the rules. I mean, at the very least, some people might get a light warning over their grammar. (If you can't understand what someone's saying because their grammar is so bad, that's as good as spamming in my book. XD) So don't be afraid to report! =D
