The Monotype Challenge

I started a psychic monotype on HeartGold some months back. I'm here to request a withdrawal from that challenge. I'm still going to do monotype challenges, but I haven't touched that one in so long that I dont feel right trying to pick up where I left off. My plan after some work on ORAS is to start up a few Bug type challenges.

ORAS is out and i got AS because i had both of the originals and i liked sapph better... Personally i hate this generation but so far its new and nostalgic enough that i'm able to endure.

For my Poison challenge previously was being updated for Flawless Platinum. I will put that on hold and rush right into Alpha Sapphire. I will be taking a lot longer to complete this one because i intend to complete at least the Generation 3 pokedex (their new
Spoiler:
is great)

I've started the game chose Torchic as my starter and so far i've been endulging myself in catching all of the pokemon each route before i progress as best i can. I've caught the first poison available to me and benched all other pokemon. That pokemon is Wurmple and i hope he evolves into Cascoon so i can keep him around for an extended period of time. Otherwise he'll be benched also and i'll need to catch another lvl 2 Wurmple

Weeeeeeeell that was silly. Just like in gen 6, I found myself ridiculously overleveled just about the entire game and defeated the Elite Four fairly easily. Even Drake was pretty weak. That's what happens when your team is a good 5 to 10 levels over the trainers in the game. Funny note, I got stuck in the Strength puzzle of the Trick Room and gave up. Gotta figure out how to beat it one of these days.

Final team:

Poison monotype challenge update:
I ended up jinxing myself and had to box silcoon... caught another wurmple however and it was a hidden Pokémon with extra experience, was level 13. In two more levels he became dustox although he didn't learn confusion which makes me wonder if I should make yet another dustox because confusion is half the edge of having a dustox. I caught every Pokémon in every area that I had access to be in. That said dustox is my only Pokémon for the rock gym. My level 17 dustox enters the rock gym alone.

I beat the gym leader by basically potioning after almost every turn after using poison powder. Roxanne apparently only knew rock tomb because that was the only attack used the entire battle.

While my Emerald save is getting fixed, I'll do Diamond.

I've already done Red and Gold.

It's been a while since I last updated.

Ultimate Ghost Monotype Platinum Update:
-caught Rotom in the Old Chateau
-Gastly evolved into Haunter
-defeated Fantina
-defeated rival in Hearthome City
-Drifloon evolved into Drifblim
-caught Duskull on Route 209
-defeated Maylene

So I fought the fighting gym in alpha sapphire but he didn't stand a ghost of a chance. All I used was my lvl 20 Dustox's poison powDer and venoshock combo. It 1 shot everything and made the gym take no time at all.
afterwards I caught a zubat. So far that is all for my team, and I've caught everything possible to catch so far in the game on all routes. So far so good

The Monotype Challenge & Pokemon ORAS

Since ORAS is now available worldwide, it's about time I talked about it a bit. Firstly, it should go without saying that any rules associated with XY also apply to ORAS, including how megas are handled and Pokemon Amie restrictions. The ending point until I learn more about the game shall be Steven at the Pokemon League. The new releases mean that Fairy type can now be done "Ultimate". This can be accomplished by completing the challenge with Pokemon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire, and Pokemon X or Y. It won't be all that special til more games are released.

Am I free to begin a challenge and post my updates while my request awaits a response?

I'm inquiring while under the assumption that the "Challenger List" is only updated periodically.

Since Necrum added something about ORAS, I'll do the challenge now:

Pokémon Type: Fighting
Challenge Type: Single
Game(s): Omega Ruby

I'll try something easy for now since I don't really want to deal with Pokebank for sending over a Pokemon.

EDIT: Quick question about Ralts. Since it can evolve into Gallade, I was wondering if I could trade it over to another game to evolve it when it hits level 20 or 30 (to match Gardevoir). I want to do that since you can evolve it before hitting the E4 by getting the dawn stone from Wally but you get it at the end of Victory Road. Carrying around a Kirlia until the end of the game defeats the purpose of the challenge but running from Victory Road to get a Kirlia from the level 20/30 up to the level needed for E4 is pretty tedious.

Use Secret Super Training to get a Dawn Stone.

I also use my usual self-imposed rules:

- No Exp Share outside of grinding
- If Im not going to use my starter, it has to be the Water one for Surf+

(Btw, my water challenge save file is still intact, so i will resume that at some point)

I started this before joining and am currently about to face Blue in Leafgreen, can I continue this save if I give evidence or do I have to start again?
